Apologies if this has been covered but the forum search function is not working on my Samsung tablet. I'm re-installing the fuel tank on a 2003 VFR 800 and there's this thin cable my Haynes manual calls a Raise-Limit Line. One end attaches to the frame but where does the other end go? And is it important?

Appreciate any help.

Thanks

under the front of the tank.

I suggest to you to goto the download section for the operators & service manuals.

Service manual has pictures

Hey 1st post, where's a picture of ya bike?

Only thing it does is limit how high you can raise the tank. Seems like Honda felt that was an issue around 2002 or thereabouts. My '03 ST1300 had one, but I don't think any 5th Gens or previous had one. If you don't have the bolt that holds it to the tank, I wouldn't bother with it.

Thanks Kevin

I thought that was what it may be. Looks like a bin job.

Really appreciate your quick response.

Cheers
