New member, thanks for having me. I have an 8th Gen which I've owned for 18 months and 18000ks. Happy days

Welcome!

What's your model year, type and colour? Any mods, planned etc.?

Welcome to the asylum. You'll need to post up pic(s) to prove you are not a figment of our imaginations.

(Wish I could visit your fabulous continent some day but I'm poor and old. Still a fellow can dream.)

Welcome to the forum.  I see you have an ST1100 and the 8th gen.  Which do you prefer now that you've put some miles on the 8th gen.

Hi all, thanks for the welcome.

To answer your questions..

ST1100 vs Viffer, the ST is a big fat heavy old bus, perfect for very long days in the saddle, carrying a pillion and a load of luggage. It's not so good on very tight twisty roads, and it's a bugger to manoeuvre at parking speeds.

the viffer is perfect on twisty roads, is ok for moderate distances, not so good for a pillion, but has an engine that makes me grin every time I ride it. I like them both.

As for mods, not much really. Radiator guard, bar risers, seat bag,Ventura rack and bag, MRA screen extension thingy. Don't have plans to do any more with it.

cheers

Laurie
