All 19- Running Temp Of 2016 VFR 800 Hi chaps, I've got a 2016 VFR 800 which I love to bits, top top bike! Noticed when in traffic in warm weather (doesn't happen often in the UK) The temp goes up to about 104, then the fans come on and it's maintained at…
- What Chain Lube To Use? Cogswell, 14/08/2016 at 6:36 AM It's also what was recommended by DID on the box with the replacement chain I got from them - ZVMX 530. Using 90 wt gear oil, I never clean the chain except for a brief wipe down when…
- What Chain Lube To Use? I use escalator chain and pin oil. An industrial chain lubricant. It's pretty similar to gear oil I guess. I can't believe how much easier it is to wipe off the bike than horrible gooey spray. My mates XJR has 23000 on…
- Proper Center Stand Technique? I think the arm used for applying foot pressure is shorter than other bikes I've had. It is difficult to get on the centre stand. I don't think it offers enough leverage. :-)
- Fitted An Automatic Chain Oiler Really interested in fitting a scotoiller. Can't be arsed with a vacuum controlled one. Was looking at the electronic one, but loads of people I spoke to said they basically coat your bike with oil and it's not worth…
- Why I Chose The Vfr 800F Nice bike, Looks good in Black. Love the exhaust too. Nice.
- Toolkit E mailed the dealer after checking just now. No toolkit. :-( Attached Files [image: Attached File] DSC_0001.JPG 36.92KB 4 downloads
- Toolkit Cheers Fink. Yes I did, only done 200 miles so far. Cheers :-)
- Toolkit Does the 8th Gen come with a toolkit? Can't remember seeing one. The manual mentions it and I guess you need the peg spanner for chain adjustment. Cheers.
- 8Th Gen Front Forks Cheers for the replies. Very helpful :-)
- 8Th Gen Front Forks It will be a pleasure. Best bike I've had in years. :-)
- 8Th Gen Front Forks Cheers, it's brand new so o probably need to get some miles on it too.
- 8Th Gen Front Forks Just wondering what owners of the 8th Gen model, think of the front forks. They seem a bit choppy on rougher roads and when you compress them they don't seem to rebound at all as if the standard rebound setting is too…
- Hugger I got the Honda one with the bike. Didn't want the shock getting covered in crap. It is quite small, but looks OK in a decree way. I guess it fits in with the bikes styling- discreet but good quality.
- Key Tag For 8Th Generation Vfr That sounds like the tag. A friend of mine has just bought an Africa Twin and thats how he described it. I didn't get one at all. The dealer seems pretty good though, so I don't think it will be a problem. Hopefully. :-)
- Key Tag For 8Th Generation Vfr Had a look Fink, but can't see it anywhere. Typical!
- Key Tag For 8Th Generation Vfr Cheers Steve. Think it's best to get the tag though knowing me and keys. :-)
- Key Tag For 8Th Generation Vfr I thought as much. Pretty bad if you don't have one and the key goes missing. Does that mean you need a new HISS system? Think I better visit the dealer. :-( Cheers for the reply. :-)
- Key Tag For 8Th Generation Vfr Just wondering. The owners manual of my new VFR 800says I should have a key Tag with a code for the HISS system in the event that a new key needs cutting. I don't have a tag supplied with mine. Did anyone get one with…
