Toolkit

Does the 8th Gen come with a toolkit? Can't remember seeing one. The manual mentions it and I guess you need the peg spanner for chain adjustment. Cheers.

Yes it does look under the seat. Did you buy the bike new back in March?

Indeed, it should be under the pillion seat or cowl and held by a rubber strap.

I bought one years ago when my first VFR came without a toolkit.

Or chase your dealer if your bike was new.

E mailed the dealer after checking just now. No toolkit. :-(

I am astounded this is still one of those ambiguous things that people get different answers depending on the dealer.  And the dealer didn't offer to sell you one nor provide  more information?

You should call Honda 1-800 Motorcycle Customer Service and ask them. They do respond. Why? Because dealers do things like pull accessories and sell them back to people at MSRP. I am not accusing this dealer of doing that but I am saying it is a reasonable thing to verify. 

Did you get a "service book"? This is listed as part of the toolkit and should be a mandatory item with all vehicles. I also can't believe they didn't include a chain adjuster. Again, astounded.

Man that is SLACK, the dealership should have taken you through a good introduction of the bike, including showing you where the owners booklet and toolkit are placed.
 
Very poor pre delivery and customer service, totally agree with Knight.
 
I am sure Honda will not be pleased at hearing this and will no doubt sort out your toolkit ASAP.
 
You should have 2 rubber straps (item 2 Part Number 50290-MBL-610) one for the toolkit and one for holding your accessories etc. it appears they have incorrectly tried to fit both straps where your toolkit should be!! From your photo it also looks like the 3 rubber strap clips (item 1 Part Number 91547-SE0-003) are also missing. Document bag and toolkit are clearly shown as to where they should be. This is from the Set-Up Instructions the dealership would be using.
