Last 50 of 101- 2024 XSR 900 GP I too like the look of the R7 anniversary edition....actually I'd have the R3, R7, and R1 with the anniversary treatment. Naaah. I can only ride one and my 8th gen is still the one !
- I am going to shut down vfrd soon This news comes as a shock. Many Heartfelt Thanks for this forum. All the support and camaraderie. The VFR concept is a great one and deserves a great community.
- 2014 VFR 800 CYCLE WORLD Test I agree with Grum. Now for a more negative take on our wonderful bike. https://www.motorcyclistonline.com/reviews/2014-honda-vfr800-interceptor-first-ride/
- THE FIRST 100K The Beginning [image: IMG_4687.thumb.jpg.20bea4323a84687ac975006f3f9350f0.jpg] May 15,2017 It was a relatively uneventful drive, aside from rain and wind gusts. The rental van worked fine, a bit“loosey goosey” from a…
- What did you do to your VFR Today? Rolled my VFR out into fresh snow for an obligatory photo op !
- New donation from RC79NC001 Hi RC79NC001, Thank you for your donation of 100.00 USD. We look forward to improving the forums with your donation. Thanks VFRDiscussion
- Return of the Michelin Man 3rdbike I appreciate your compliment. Glad You enjoyed it.😃
- Return of the Michelin Man Return of the Michelin Man In 2021 I enjoyed 3 consecutive sets of Michelin Pilot Road 2 Tires.. Set 1; Installed April 7 replaced after 6552 miles; Set 2; Installed July 30 replaced after 6711 miles; Set 3; Installed…
- A Fuel Efficient Beast Gen 8 is. Trying what ? I ride "aggressively" most every ride in or out of vtec. We also have lots of law enforcement where I ride. Too much VTEC sounds like tickets and even a trip to jail. YMMV of course.

- 2020 Tire(s) Review Hi Grum, My shop fitted the high flow when they did an oil change. I'm not sure of the model number but, it did have the hex nut and that was where it leaked. I can only speculate that the nut was used to (incorrectly)…
- 1,000 miles in two days, my VFR story starts again after 15 years (long read) Great story. Proof again that there is nothing like a VFR. Welcome back.
- I know I'll regret it, but always wanted to do white wheels on a 5th gen. How about one of the new Ceramic waxes ? https://drivedetailed.com/meguiars-hybrid-ceramic-wax-review/
- A Fuel Efficient Beast Gen 8 is. It shows what a fantastic design the VFR is ( all generations ). Fun and efficient if you need it to be.
- I like my 8 th gen VFR , but.................. I have a Delkevic on mine. I like the sound . It's not loud but, definitely different then stock.
- A Fuel Efficient Beast Gen 8 is. A Fuel Efficient Beast Gen 8 is. Thanks to Grum for a previous post touting the efficiency of the 8th Gen. It’s true. Yesterday I went for a ride. I rode until the low fuel warning light came on . I kept riding. When I…
- Picking new cylinder wall material need help 944 Porsches are my weakness.....argh. Lucky for me I love riding my VFR so much that it keeps me from other distractions.
- The King is dead, Long live the King. Kudos and a big ditto to the OP. I've posted the same....less extensively and eloquently. The VFR is the only motorcycle I need. ADVs well, another man's poison.
- How many mi/km did the OEM tires last you? 600 miles. Replaced them with Bridgestone T30s at the initial 600 mile service.
- 2020 Tire(s) Review week 10 of 2020 for the front tire week 43 of 2019 for the rear
- 2020 Tire(s) Review PR2s arrived this morning. They were made in Spain. See attached photos of manuf. codes. [image: PR2_FRONT.thumb.jpg.bab5b8afde4edd3437c953ed0f7bee78.jpg] [image: PR2_REAR.thumb.jpg.1d384327dd7b7b737e611989b3826f05.jpg]
- Just curious, so when does you riding season typically end Tomorrow it's supposed to reach 50 so I'll be taking a short ride hopefully in the sunshine. 50F is the lower threshold for riding imho. 40-50; Ride only for an emergency ( car has a burned out clutch ) or I need to…
- What did you do to your VFR Today? Forum members please ignore my last posted references to MotoGP anything... That sounds ridiculous... I just don't use my back brake....much. and prefer CL pads when the fronts wear out. TGIF !!!
- What did you do to your VFR Today? Here's my front pad only history. Original Pads replaced at 33801 Mi with Ferodos ,did not care for the way the Ferodos felt. They were replaced after 18290 Mi with CL set 1. Ferodos replaced at 52091 Mi with CL Pads.…
- What did you do to your VFR Today? After 72000 mi on my VFR the rear pads are still original and mostly unused....
- What did you do to your VFR Today? Replaced old carbone lorraine front brake pads with new carbone lorraine front brake pads. I think I got my money's worth out of the old pads ! [image: IMG_a3709.thumb.jpg.1a29b477457163ac132bc0259815b927.jpg]
- Routine Valve Inspection Uh....I am on a 60k mile interval. Had 6 valves out of spec at the time . I posted about my experience in 2020.
- 2020 Tire(s) Review I will photo the date codes upon their arrival....
- 2020 Tire(s) Review If only all the magazine testers ( or any potential owner ) would ride a VFR shod with something other then the stock rubber, the world would be a better place. Ditto with how any rider would enjoy this motorcycle after…
- 2020 Tire(s) Review My first VFR related purchase for 2021....a set of Michelin PR2s from Amazon. $240. Yeehaw !

- 2020 Tire(s) Review Ok, here's an addition to the original story. Set5 Installed Oct 22; Pirelli STs (Tires cost $215) mounted at 66147 Mi. Notes: Pirellis impress with excellent feel and ride for a great price. Replaced at 71598 Mi. They…
- Just curious, so when does you riding season typically end 60F and above Means I'm riding. The days are shorter the sun is lower and I figure 4 hours is about all you get. I'll take it. Dec Jan Feb and then it gets better.
- 2020 Tire(s) Review PR2s were my go to 10 yrs ago on my SV650S. I loved them. However I am happily in a Pirelli rut for now. I've been thinking about trying Dunlop RS3 tires . They are about $250 a set on Amazon but, I've read enough bad (…
- 2020 Tire(s) Review I see that many people like the idea of changing their own tires. I'm cool with that but I also like the idea of supporting my local independent ( and competent ) motorcycle shop. They are really good guys and I enjoy…
- 2020 Tire(s) Review Made in China....
- 2020 Tire(s) Review [image: IMG_a3694.thumb.jpg.6f3385635483ecb66d3505035f904f77.jpg] Today looked at the back of my Pirelli ST with bright winter sunlight shining on it. The belts are starting to show just a bit in one part of the tire.…
- Mileage Let's Rock'em 'til the wheels fall off... No not a statistician but sometimes it's good to present your info a different way. I have a diary for my VFR....everything gets logged. Fuel economy not so much but, I'd wager it's almost always over 45 mpg. The 8th…
- Mileage Let's Rock'em 'til the wheels fall off... Here are my stats month by month . Purchased my 2014 VFR800D off the show room with less than 10 mi on the odometer. Here are my stats for each year. 2017,2018,2019,2020. The left column is miles. Enjoy.[image:…
- Just curious, so when does you riding season typically end Y'all don't hate me....but I log miles in all 12 months. Granted Dec Jan Feb you have to take what you can get but, there's usually enough days over 50F to warrant a ride. Yesterday the high was 68F and I got 300 miles…
- Mileage Let's Rock'em 'til the wheels fall off... Grum the honest answer is I don't know. Six valves were out of spec and while my mechanic was in there the reasoning was to do the CCTs also.
- Mileage Let's Rock'em 'til the wheels fall off... Had both CCTs replaced during the 60k valve adjust....trying to get rid of the ticking noise. Post 60k service my VFR feels stronger than new....

- Top 7 dorkiest motorcycles..... How dare he talk about one of the best looking motorcycles. His opinion is just that and he's dead wrong. My opinion. May he take a long walk off of a short pier.
- 2020 Tire(s) Review Z6 Metzelers and Pirelli Sts are off Amazon Prime. Roadtec Metzelers are from Rocky Mtn ATV. I used to love Michelins on my SV650S but, the Road 5s are too expensive...imho.
- 2020 Tire(s) Review You're right about the ST Angels. They are the older design compared to the GT and GT2. They are made in china ( Pirelli is owned by the Chinese ) and the manufacturing dates are recent. I go through a lot of tires in a…
- 2020 Tire(s) Review I liked the Z6s but, I liked the Pirellis even more . Today I see on Amazon Bridgestone T30s for $185 (set). I am tempted ...the west coast calls in 2021 !
- 2020 Tire(s) Review Here’s my tire usage for the year. My year to date mileage is approaching 28000 . Set1 Installed Feb 14; Metzeler Roadtecs (Tires cost $324.73) mounted at 44200 Mi Notes: High Flow Oil Filter installed during service…
