Hey all I will be riding up to the Gap, also hitting Cherohala Skyway, Cherokee, Tellico Plains, Bryson City, Mt. LeConte, Lookout Peak, Townsend and the foothills PKWY. The irde will be from about 250-300 miles. We will be riding on some of the best roads in the country and seeing some of the most beautiful sights. Anyone that wants to come is more than welcome. Leaving Biker Rags on Kingston Pike(close to Lovell Rd.) at 10:30, we should reach the Gap no later than 11:30 am. If anyone wants to go meet at Biker Rags or call me( cell# 388-1402) and meet somewhere on the way. My name is Neil Moss, I will be riding an 02 Red VFR and wearing a red, blk, and white Arai helmet, also my bike has Corbin hard bags on it. Later! Hope to see some folks.

I would lay strong odds that you will have the only sport type bike at Biker Rags in the morning...unless you are meeting others there. :D

I won't even give you even money on that one. Unfortunately so far I know more people who ride cruisers than sport bikes. I am still trying to remedy that situation.

Be careful young guys, Mr Bailey is one of my most advanced students.
To give you an idea, Kevin is able to go 1 mile straight now. He will be ready to ride in Miami very soon !!! :wheel: :thumbsup:
Those are incredible roads. I dream of them all winter and make three or four trips each summer to ride them. Usually stay for four days each visit. North Georgia has some fantastic roads as well!! I have even talked to the wife about buying some rental property in nearby Towsend! I am totally jealous of some of the members here who live near those roads!!

I have been known to migrate east for a weekend as well. :D
Well, I ended up riding by myself, I would have preferred a little company to talk about the twisties we just conquered but it was still an absofrigginlutely awesome day of riding! I shot the Gap/slew the Dragon twice, I also rode Cherohala twice, as well as other parts of 129, 143, 321, and 28. I stopped and had lunch at a great little Drive-up burger joint next to the river right before coming into Tellico. I'm kind of a nerd so I read a book for about an hour while sitting next to the river and then jumped back on the VFR and headed out for more of what I'd been experiencing all day, simply FANTASTIC roads, weather and landscape. I ended up putting in about 260 miles and almost all of it on those sweet little mountain twisties! Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What an awesome day! I took a lot of pictures today as well and if someone can explain to me how to post them here I would be happy to.
Tin Man I live in Knox, Co. one mile off Pellissippi Pkwy at Northshore and Nantasket Rd. right across from Carl Cowan park. I have about 3 or 4 months left here before I move to west TN and I plan on getting in as much riding as I can possibly squeeze in before then.
I hope everyone had as great a day as I did, if you did I know your still grining from ear to ear thinking about the day's ride. Later!
