I'm planning to sign in for the STT event at Moroso on April 16-17. Anyone going? How about the FL crew? I'm going Novice as usual... liter bikes in intermediate are too fast on those straights.

I'll be there! Not sure about riding, though... :( Hey Twist! Please do yourself a favor and go Intermediate this time. I know for a fact that you can hang just fine in Int group. The biggest problem with liter bikes at a track day is them holding you up in corners and running away on the straights. I found the cure for that at my second time at Moroso, which was my first time in Int group. If you go out in the front at the start of the session, the faster guys will get around you, and the slower ones will already be behind you! After going in Advanced group last time, and having my ass handed to me, I'll do Intermediate if I decide to ride at all. I have a CBR600 track bike available for rent, if anyone is interested. I will require a substantial cash deposit, however. :D

How about $10 a day ? I might even fly in for that one !
baileyrock, Mar 27 2005, 08:31 PM$5 now, $5 later ?
KevinP? why don't you ride? Got bored of Moroso. ( that is like your play ground, right? ) For some reason, going intermediate in my third track day makes me nervous. Might be I switch to interm in the afternoon if I feel that I have the pace. I have the feeling that intermediate is teh place where you can find novice racers and shy advanced altogether, and that makes me feel unsafe. In Jennings last time, I felt like the novice-advanced group was my place... but in the last session the heat and weather conditions ( +100 F ) made me feel unsafe and out of the pace. Let,s how I feel next time.
C'mon, Master !!! Join the rafter's team at Moroso. Alex has the 929 ( repaired and clean like the first time ) and the 1000RR. If you come in, he will let you ride the 929, for sure ( I'll convince him) . Only thing is please don't crash it very hard, he has a deposit on it.

Thanks for the offer Alex, but I'm waiting for the Barber Track (I think). I might be able to only afford one track day this year and Barber sounds like the best one to do !

What are you waiting for, Master? C'mon, girls are waiting for you !!!
Well, I went to watch a few buds ride the Saturday, and got hooked again! I ended up riding on Sunday with the rest of my friends. I had a great day on the CBR F3 track bike. I am finally getting an idea of how to ride Moroso, and I had fun in intermediate group. As opposed to the last time when I tried Advanced group on a bike I had never ridden before. :( Twisted Grip, looked like you had a good time Saturday! Please, please promise me you will try Intermediate group next time! I did it on the '99 VFR, and I know that you can too! You would be amazed at how many liter bikes are holding you up in the turns, and once you get by them you never see them again. My little '98 600 is holding up well, and I'm finally getting the confidance back to get the front end a little light coming out of the turns. B) The brakes are so solid, and I need to learn to trust them. Brake later, and harder! Never dropped a knee at Moroso before, but got the left down a few times on Sunday. Fun time all around!
