Hello Everyone,
I'm pretty new to the VFRD, so let my first just say hello and thanks for a great service. I'm now starting my third season on a 2003 (sixth gen right?) and I just love the bike. I traded an overpriced Softail for it and I'm glad I did. Anyway, I'll learn the ropes here soon, so if I make any newbie mistakes, please just cut me a little slack.
Anyway, last August I completed an extreme Iron Butt ride on my VFR. I'm pretty geeked today because the story I wrote about it just got put up on the Iron Butt website today. I'm not trying to toot my own horn, but it was an amazing ride and I thought some of you might either just enjoy the story or be interested in doing an Iron Butt yourself.
If you'd like to read it, please go to www.ironbutt.com and pan down and right until you see the News / Articles section, the click on Larry Eberhart's ride report. If you're into touring, you might think it's cool, if you're a racer, then you'll likely think it's pretty boring.
Anybody up for an all VFR Iron Butt ride? How about an all VFRD Iron Butt ride? Might make for some cool photo ops and another good story. Please enjoy the story. I hope to be a decent contributor to this site this year.
Thanks for having me. B)
