Alright misfits, time be now for another group ride.  Due to the time of year, and considering some riders may be tiring of Mines Road,  I suggest another coast ride.  (always up for alternative routes if anybody cares to suggest one.)  Weather permitting, February 24, 2024 we meet at Starbucks,  260 Northgate Drive, San Rafael  94903.  We ride over to Pt. Reyes Station and up the Pacific Coast Hwy.  Lunch in Elk, and back down CA128 to Cloverdale.  We top off the ride at the world famous Hamburger Ranch;  those up for more fun can continue on CA128 to Calistoga and Winters.

The last time we tried this ride did not work out so well, so let's hope for clear weather and decent roads.  If the weather is questionable, we'll cancel; nobody wants another soaking like we took last time.  But you never know, this time of year in Northern California could make for a memorable ride.  Hope so.   Kickstands up at 8:30 AM.  Hope you can make it.  Jeff  J.

OK, well, no interest on VFRD, but thanks to the magic of cell phone text messaging, I can confirm the following:

In

Jeff J.

Brian F

Maybe

RC1237V

Out, Maybe next time

St. Stephen

Tirso

RRluv2RIDE

Weather looks crappy through Thursday, so maybe we will hit a nice break at the end of several weather fronts that will be passing through next week.  Fingers crossed.  Hope RC1237V can make it, I don't think Brian will put up with my moderate riding pace for long.

Moving the ride to Saturday, March 2 enables St. Stephen to join us, effectively increasing participation by 50%.

So, let's move the ride to SATURDAY, MARCH 2.  Updates forthcoming shortly before the ride.

St. Stephen looks pretty chipper here, considering he just rode 80 miles through a car wash.  Notice how clean the bikes are!

NOT looking for a repeat of those weather conditions this time around.

Here you shall find Brian, always up for some NorCal mayhem. In for March 2.

Nine inches of rain here so far this month. True, no snow, but still. So this ride will be nothing but CA sunshine, I'm sure.

Here's a good weather shot of the usual suspects not too long ago. Of course they've purchased new bikes since then.

Probably won't be a surprise to anyone that we will have to cancel the ride due to an unfavorable weather forecast.  I personally am unavailable until mid-summer.  Hoping to get together with misfits several times this year, but for that to happen, we will have to load up the second half of the year.  Ride safe, everyone.  Sorry it did not work out this time.  Jeff J.
