Hi, I own a 2000 VFR800FI, I desperately needed some panniers so when I came across some brand new 2002 VTEC panniers I jumped the gun and bought them. Now i have to adapt them to my motorbike, and I wonder, maybe some of you could offer some advice ? I have only seen one topic mention this, and I don't have the skills of that gentleman!

What do the mounts like like on the 6G panniers? Are they a standard Givi V35 mount?
Probably need to visit a metal shop / muffler shop that is willing to take this on. And be prepared to spend some $$$$. Keep us posted!
As Pilot said, nothing is impossible... if you have a good welder and money to spend.
Jokes apart (but not too far), have you eventually the original brackets? They will not fit on the bike, for sure, but they will the panniers at least, so you have the half the problem solved
