Last 50 of 127- SOLD!!!! sold! NOT OEM. Complete set includes upper cowl and side plastic, lower connection cowl, both side cowls, rear cowl, and a windscreen. I never used these and they are new in the box. Cost me $450 on eBay. They look good…
- 5th gen Stator output 10 hours ago, bmart Caltric makes mostly garbage. Buy a genuine brand or just have your OEM rewound. Many shops still do this. You can always rely on Rick's. I completely agree with you! My oem still going strong (for…

- Mounting 6th Gen Panniers on 5th Gen VFR Probably need to visit a metal shop / muffler shop that is willing to take this on. And be prepared to spend some $$$$. Keep us posted!
- Fuel injection issue Definitely pull the injectors send them out for flow test, cleaning, and leak test. Or buy some off Amazon as Honda used the same FI in their cars. New versus old.
- 2014 vfr800 steel braided brake line To me it's an absolute must do. I love the look and feel. Very responsive feel. Yes, it's a PITA to install, but it's worth it. And as others have said, replace all the seals and overhaul the system. Happy riding!
- Hi all, cheers from Quebec in Canada Welcome aboard! Nice pics keep them coming. We here at vfrd love pics. So you're going to build a RR? Obviously more intelligent than this guy.
- BMW K1600 GT thoughts... V4 Rosso, 9/19/2024 at 6:01 PM I only remove the radiator when performing a valve clearance check. It' s most #1 coil that fails because for some reason that one gets flooded sometimes. Interesting. BMW states the…
- VF1000R feasibly imminent, seeking detractors 13 minutes ago, Captain 80s They are big and heavy and handle like shit with stock suspension. The good news is that with a good aftermarket rear shock and proper springs with cartridge emulators they are transformed.…

- BMW K1600 GT thoughts... 4 hours ago, V4 Rosso For replacing a coil you don' t need to remove the radiator, just lower it a bit. Per BMW and everything I saw on the k1600 forums the radiator has to be removed to access that coil. Didn't matter…
- BMW K1600 GT thoughts... 45 minutes ago, TimC Nice write-up. Thanks for posting it here! I've considered buying an older RT or K bike for touring use, but definitely not a 1600. I only ride alone, and the extra power (and size, weight, and…
- BMW K1600 GT thoughts... 43 minutes ago, DrErgal Although I never rode a 1600GT, I may say something about BMW. I owned 4 krauts: 2 flat K series (K100RS '84 and K1100RS '92) and 2 boxer (R1100S '98 and R1100S '01) Well, the K's entered my…
- BMW K1600 GT thoughts... Thought I would share my thoughts on this fantastic motorcycle. I had a 2015 and sold it with 17k miles. It was between the FJR 1300 and K1600 for me. The GREAT : - Power as much as you wanted and on demand. Very…

- It must be a sign!! 13 minutes ago, DrErgal Well, the tires were very aged, giving absolutely no grip, so only thing I could was taking her our for a small walk and no more. What I got from that experience is her compactness and great…
- It must be a sign!! DrErgal, 9/3/2024 at 6:04 AM Sorry for entering so late in the topic but I joined just a few weeks ago. Super duper view!! A superb and very rare NC30 400 (or so it seems) It reminds me a bizzarre experience I had in…
- about the Rothmans graphics on Honda V4 Great thread! Love seeing the old school racing bikes. I was always glued to the TV watching it back in the day. Amazing how much the riding style has changed over the years.
- New addition to the garage Great looking ride! I have two friends with the multistrada. Very nimble and good looking machines.
- 5th Gen Coolant Level 11 hours ago, Grum Once flushed, filled and burped. You only need to top up via the reserve tank. Ride and check the reserve tank level, no need to even worry about overfilling the reserve tank it will either be drawn…
- Indicator issue - relay? At least you discovered it and you were not out of town on a trip. In a remote location etc. I would suggest going with OEM in reference to most parts. Of course, the bearings, suspension, and R/R are much better…
- Fuel Additives Unpopular opinion, I use chevron Techron about 500 miles prior to each oil change. I also use non ethanol fuel as much as possible. My bike has 55k and it's time to get the injectors professionally cleaned. Taking them…
- Michelin tire price hike! Directly correlated with the price of oil and everything else going on. If you need tires - time to buy is now. I suspect you will see a sharp increase around the beginning of summer as the tire industry takes a while…
- Prevent cracks in bodywork Good to know. I will be checking mine as I am due to for a 50k aka old bike tear down.
- VFR ride in St. Augustine, Fla - May 20th with vintage bike show! Might be down. Have to see how work looks closer to that date. Good job putting it all together!
- Help needed - VFR dying after 75 minutes on interstate I purchased a VFRness and R/R from our fellow VFRd member 5 years ago. Zero issues since then. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! http://www.wiremybike.com/…
- Should dealers provide a bike setup service...? marriedman, 4/22/2017 at 9:08 PM http://daughertymotorsports.com Probably the most used suspension guru on VFRD. Fantastic work at great prices. Can't recommend him enough. Same here. Breathed new life into my VFR.…
- Anybody Use a Nitron rear shock? Daugherty Motorsports all the way. I cannot say enough good things about the work he did for my VFR. It rides better than my friends brand new bikes (FJR, C14, VFR etc). Like its on rails. I like supporting local…
- What luggage actually looks good on a 5th gen??? Dutchy, 4/29/2017 at 1:06 PM The RC36 and 1998-99 5th gen came with "condom mirros". It is the 2000-01 (aka Y2K) mirrors you want. EMGO make cheaper replicas. I have the 00 mirrors which are great. I should have…
- Been A While....... Yes I know Switchblade, 5/12/2014 at 4:57 AM +1 Almost two years later LOL. Absolutely amazing suspension setup. Never realized how much better the bike could ride. That's a recent picture :)

- What luggage actually looks good on a 5th gen??? Really like those mirrors. I remember a thread about those a long time ago. I really want a set. Anyone have that information handy?
- Been A While....... The VFR is back to life. I have to admit Jamie (DMr) did an awesome job on the forks and the shock. Very happy with the way it turned out and anyone thinking about having your forks powdercoated----yeah it really looks…
- New Yuasa Ytz14S Batteries On Ebay: $60 Plus Shipping I'm always too late on these deals..........grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I wonder if these are any good: http://www.ebay.com/...30596f0&vxp=mtr
- Been A While....... Has been a while since I've been on the board. I'm really excited, as I'm finally refreshing my 99 with 45k on all original suspension. Jamie will be the parts man (929 rear upgrade, forks, and new head bearing) and…
- Two Dumb Coolant Questions Plain old green ethylene glycol antifreeze can be mixed with the same stuff of other brands. The newer long life coolants should not as they have different chemistry. Pink, red, orange, they're not the same. OAT, PHOAT,…

- Cortech Gx Air 2 Jacket Vs Cortech Gx Sport 2 Jacket I have a Cortech GX Air (1 not 2) and I use it for 85% of my riding. Great jacket with the leather in critical parts......has lasted four years thus far with no issues and flows a lot of air. Highly recommend it sir...
- Most miles on a 5th Gen? I wish I had more time to ride and much better roads. My 99 has 42k with typical maint: batteries, VFRness, R/R, and on my second chain. I plan on keeping mine until I can swing a Goldwing and eventually passing it down…
- 5th Generation Windscreens I highly recommend the factory seconds that Zero Gravity sells on Ebay. I have had one on my 5th gen for years and it's perfect for me. By far one of the best mods I have done. It was fairly inexpensive, too.
- Who is staying until Monday? And then you should ride back up on the 26th and stay until June 2!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing beats A FULL WEEK in North Carolina!!!!
- Zero Gravity Dark Smoke SR-Series Windscreen I have the ZG Double Bubble in dark smoke. I got a factory second off ebay and can't see any blemishes. The best part is it doesn't have the cheesy ZG in white lettering on the sides. Prob my favorite mod as it…
- Nice! (Shinko Stealth) I'm glad you like them. I always wondered if anyone ever ran those. I only trust my Pilot Road 2 and 3s. I would cut corners with tires but that's just imho. Ride safe!
- Michelin Pilot Road 2, 9800 miles The PR2 are the best ST tire I've ever used. I'm really enjoying the PR3's right now and might be my new favorite. 10k on tires just does not happen to me or in Florida, period...LOL.
- Best textile jacket brand for durability Yes sir, I sure have. I just called and used the nice young lady's first name, told her how much I liked their stuff and was friendly. Perhpaps that was the difference I do not know...but she was very nice and promptly…
- Best tires for the VFR??? Updated 2011 You guys and your mileage crack me up. Come to Florida....nothing lasts down here. The PR2 did but still nothing compared to 13k mile stories...LOL Too much speed and heat in the railing state for us. BR>I ran the PR3…
