Short notice, but some of us (whoever shows up) are meeting up at 9 AM Sunday at the Sunland 76 station. See Burntheedge.com for chatter. That's Foothill Blvd, in Sunland CA, near the west end of town. Plan is to ride out Big Tujunga, Angeles Forest, Mount Emma, and make our way to the Mile High Cafe to eat, out in the desert foothills of BFE. Busman, Das Bone, I'm talking to you guys! And anyone else that wants to ride. SpamIAm loved the service last time. Comped his meal. (With good and slow reason :goofy: )
ScootR, Baileyrock, 767Fixer, Hurricane, TBZep, too many to list. You guys in? Yeah, oh well, I'll see ya when I see ya. :wheel:
im in!!! of course i think mt tires will be flat spotted by the time i get there....and how far is it to california? how fast will i need to go to get there if i leave at 6am on the 17th?
I probably be there. The wifes kind of expecting me to get some chores done today. And I have to go to Walmart. I got on the bike last Sunday afternoon, didn't know where I was going. Ended up past Newcombe's at Cloud Burst summit. Lots of rider patting their helmets up there. I was just cruising, even let a Harley two up pull away from me. Lot of guys on old Triumphs kept passing me. I didn't care. Had a beer and came home. Good ride.
Well the last 2 fridays I have seen the same CHP motor up Big-T then upper Big-T the back down ,head north on Angeles forest to the top turn around and do it again and again . Hes got radar!!! The way I found him yesterday was my radar detector would blink the go off.Turned out I was following him. I don't think he's lookin for a place to camp. <_<
Good seeing you guys, Busman, Spammer. Fun ride. Officer Buzzkill was there on the way out, but he already had victims as we cruised by. Never saw him again, but I think everybody was still a little paranoid. Everyone was going so slow on Mount Emma, I coudn't take it. You get to the top of one of those hills, wide open road in front to the next hilltop.... Time to wind the throttle on. :squid: C'mon trackday. :goofy:
Where were ya Fixer? Was that you grabbing ankles for Officer Buzzkill on Angeles Forest? Uh, 700 MPH is just a little over the limit sir. You'll have to come with me. :goofy:
I think he had 3 pulled over, damn bastage. Letting Lee lead down big tujunga was a good idea. Not too fast to get much attention, but fast enough to have fun. All of us were in tow from the little cafe on down. Lots of fun seeing a train of sportbikes going fast. Must resist the urge to go triple digits on the street as it stays on your record for 7 years if caught. Take it too the track they say, so we are a week from Tuesday.
