Not sure where this belongs, but I'll try here. Thinking of doing a sprint road trip out for the GP in July. There in 2 days, back in 2 days type of thing. Anyone going to be riding there and back from the east coast? Be great to get a few people together to make the trip.

Could you fill me in on this? Where is it and when?
Anyone know about Laguna Seca?

Wow, 2 days riding each way?? From Alabama it's about 34 hours and almost 2300 miles. That's 17 hours (unless you are going to average 120 mph or something) and 1150 miles each day. That doesn't include stopping to eat or breaks either. I don't think I would be able to walk around Laguna Seca after that trip.

Cool idea, but I think you would need a little more time to get there and back.

I'm surprised this was moved here as I was hoping to find people on this side or in the middle going west to meet up and ride with.

I've done San Diego to Atlanta a few times, its not too bad. Did 2323 miles in 36 hrs each way once, 2 days there, 2 days to visit, 2 days back, in late August no less. I did have a small heat exhaustion event in Arizona on the return trip which required an extended stop at Dairy Queen where the girl behind the counter offered to dump about 10 or so glasses of ice water on me.

Anyway, don't have a lot of time, but really want to go see it. The last time I was at Laguna Seca was the last GP in 94'. Be kinda cool to be there for the last then the first.
