I just bought a VFR a few months ago. Haven't been riding for over 6 years before that so I don't have to many riding buddies. I'm in the Phx area and would love to go riding. smile.gif

I'm trying to get a Sat. morning Sedona trip going with a few friends (a VFR and SV). It might be a couple of weeks but I'll keep you posted. At least once a month we head over to the Pavillions in Scottsdale. Many nice classic cars show up as well as every bike known to man. We usually show up just before sundown, look around for a while, then head to the Mills (no drinking for this rider though). It's a pretty good time.
AZVFR, Sep 11 2005, 05:24 PMHere in Mesa! If possible, could we allow a Repsol 1000rr to ride with us?
Could always use more riders. 365 riding days a year and too many places to go. I got a ticket in Mesa a couple of weeks ago leaving work at Falcon Field on Higley- damn moto cop. One of my Sat. mornings (and afternoons) will be spent at traffic school schla15.gif . The cop was a really nice guy, just hated meeting him like that.
My wife would join us on her 600rr but she's 7 months prego! She might drive a "support vehicle" with water and soda! I'll see how many others I can round up.
DangerMonkey, Sep 14 2005, 09:01 PMI'm riding to Monument Valley the weekend of the 24th. Anyone want to ride to Tortilla Flat this Saturday or Sunday morning (Sep 17/18)?
How 'bout this Sat morning? Tortilla Flats is cool. Where do you want to meet?
I'm up for the 24th as well! (call me a riding slut!!)

How about 9:00AM Saturday morning at the "Dash In". It's the gas station/Quickie Mart at the corner of Apache Trail (Route 88) and Lost Dutchman Blvd (AKA Brown Rd)....mile marker 198 on Route 88. Know the place I'm talking about?

Know exactly where it is. That's the standard meeting place for that ride. I'll bring my camcorder setup and I can take stills as well as video. Seeya!

Looks like the two of you had a good time. I need to make up for lost time. Since I couldn't make it on my Sedona trip, need to get out this weekend. Anyone have anything planned for this Sat.? Hopefully the bike will be repaired by Thur. The coolant leak I had was coming from everywhere- or so it seemed. The Honda tech had never seen anything like it. Let me know what is in the works... I'm there!
AZVFR, Sep 19 2005, 10:31 PMHow 'bout same time, same place on Sat 24th? Unless anyone has another suggestion. The Monument Valley ride is a bit long for me.
Sounds good to me. I have yet to make that ride. Now that I am making plans, my bike won't be ready this week. I'll post any changes. Hopefully the stars and planets will align.
PhxRDR, Sep 19 2005, 09:59 PMLooks like the two of you had a good time.
Yea, A good time was had by all.
Talk about a small world. AZVFR and I rode all the way out to the Dash In to meet for this ride. It turns out he lives across the street from the house in back of mine and we have the same house number. I could literally hit his house with a rock.
PhxRDR: Let us know when you're back on the road and we'll setup another ride. Of course, I may know it before you post... we'll pass each other going to work on the 202.

Picked her up this afternoon. Ended up being a coolant line that had worked itself loose. The guys at Coyote Honda take pretty good care of you. I clean my bike every night, but they got it even cleaner. It's the little things that bring you back. Sounds like AZVFR is all ready for this weekend again. My wife is out of town on business, and my mom is taking the boy Sat. so I have nothing to do, and a full tank of gas. Let me know if anything changes.
I will be riding no matter how many or few show up. Weather isn't supposed to top 100!!!! Weeeeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Might bring the CBR as it needs some lovin' too!
I'm from Arizona, and new to vfrd as well. I'd offer to ride with you guys too, but with my travesty of a fairing (partially held together by duct tape due to lack of funds pissed.gif ) I'd be ashamed to hang around with vfr enthusiasts. However if any of you'd like to assist me in constructed the next frankenviffer, let me know.

I'm riding to Monument Valley this weekend so I'll see you guys on the next one... Oct 1 if you guys available. Have fun Saturday.
