What color for 1985 gen 1 VFR?

I have a pearl yellow 2000 VFR and was thinking of painting it to match...but that may be too much. Do not care for black and/or silver. Will not paint it the original "Go for gold at the '84 Olympics, red, white and blue". I did see the new orange for the 2006 CBR600 and that looks pretty tight.

Remember this is 1985 VF700F, no engine fairings. just the front dash/headlight surround, tank, tail and side panels by the battery and r/r.

Any suggestions welcome.

I say go yellow. You said it might be too much, but there's not really that much plastic. I actually saw an early model on eBay painted yellow with black decals and thought it was sweet. But, of course, I'm biased to yellow VFRs:
