I am doing an oil change on my 2001 VFR and last time I did it, I used Spectro Golden Oil 10 w 40 and it cost $12 per quart, took 4 quarts. Wondered if anyone has any recommendations on something slightly cheaper with out wrecking anything internal.
This topic comes up every month and gets the same response every month. Please use the search feature, just search oil and you will see thousands of posts on what oils to use. Mobil 1 gold cap 15w50.
Sorry guys I did use the search box for oil and got all kinds of searches but I just wanted a straight up answer from someone. I won't do it again......
Some people will argue hard for vegetable oil, but I say spare no expense - go with cold-pressed, extra virgin olive oil. And when you change it out, you can make a kick-ass pasta primavera with it!

Don't worry about asking, we are just giving you a hard time. Remember one thing with oil, its a personal preference. Read the oil article that was in SportRider not too long ago, it will change your opinion on what you put in your bike.
I am personally going to be changing to a motorcycle specific synthetic with my next change. I think that it fits with what I am looking for, and will help protect the engine a bit more with they way that I ride. I notice that with my last oil change I had a bit of foaming, so I am going to go to something that won't do that that, will hold up better with my riding style.
Remember, we are just giving you a hard time, and it comes down to what you want.
