A break in the rain in San Francisco
Seems like it is raining every day lately, but I got out for a little while today. Snapped a pic of my VFR in front of the Bay Bridge on the Embarcadero in downtown San Fran!

Nice bike and nice pic! Cool to see bikes with 20 yrs on them still lookin' like they just rolled off the line.

Never been to San Fran but I'm coming this July for the USGP. Can't wait to spend a couple of days in and around San Fran and then head out to Laguna for the races. Hope all the rain is gone by then!

Runs like new as well!

As for the rain - it just keeps coming. I just moved up from San Diego. I've seen more rain in 2 months in San Fran than I saw in 2 years in San Diego!

yea I got tired of it too so I rode yesterday. Got my first flat tire. Going to go out again today and play with the bike that got the new Ohlins and forks from Aftershocks a few weeks ago.

The only positive to the rain is all the snow so I might be able to ski into July this year.

If all of you in the bay area would like to consider riding up to Ukiah on a Friday night, we could all take one of the amazing roads over to Mendocino and Ft. Bragg for the weekend. What do you all think?

Got plans this weekend to go to the hot springs but getting together for a ride would be fun. I just missed being able to go on that NorCal VFR meet ride last time and that looked like a lot of fun.

well if you all want to set a date to meet for the weekend in Ukiah on a Friday night, I can arrange to see if we can get discounted hotel that night at the Holiday Inn express. I stay there a lot on business. Perhaps the owners there would get us the same rate at the Holiday Inn express in Ft. Bragg as well.

Lets start rolling some dates around. Has to be anything but, Reno meet, Infineon, Laguna Seca or PNW meet in Oregon.

I also lofe in the east bay-ish, Pinole to be exact. I have been thinking of getting some kind of group riding, so I would totally be interested. My only issue is that my days off are Sunday and Monday for a little while. My schedule will change back to M_F in about a month. Until then I take what I can get.

I commute on my bike to work 25 miles each way almost every day. Only the heaviest rain gets me into the car. But I really enjoy the fun riding as well. The more seat time the better!!

Why doesnt everyone PM me who would be interested in meeting up in Ukiah for the Mendocino, Ft. Bragg weekend and I will toss a couple of dates out there that would work for us and we can firm something up.

Any recommendations on shops that work on old VFR's? All the Honda dealers show me the door. I am in the east bay.

Give Rich @ Berkeley Performance Motorcycle (510) 525-6797 a try. If you want the bike worked on promptly, you should find your own parts, and he'll use them.
