I needto find parts to rebuild both of my f. forks for my 86 750 ceptor.

I was in a similar boat fixing up a 1985 V4, so I originally got a parts microfiche off WWW.REPAIRMANUALS.COM and then ordered stull from Honda Canada if the parts were still stocked and a more recent purchace from WWW.RONAYERS.COM

If I recall correctly, these fit into the "unserviceable" realm (according to Honda). In that respect, good luck finding any kind of real parts sources... however, I've heard little elves talking about Lindeman Engineering, something about a rebuild for you for a reasonable price.
Give 'em a call, see what they say.

You could also go the route of replacement (which would be my choice) and contact Works Performance (http://www.worksperformance.com/) or Hagon (http://www.hagon-shocks.co.uk/main1st.htm)... works has the advantage of being stateside, though.
If you realy wanted to be hoss you could give Penske a call and have them build you a custom height adjustable unit (a'la discontinued Fox Twin Clicker style.. might try and locate a used one of those).
Anyways, good luck, keep us posted on what you choose and how it works - I'm in the market relatively soon, myself.

Well, RONAYERS could not help they did not go back far enuf, race-tech looks like they will be able to help, but i haven't took the forks apart yet. So I don't know what all is in side. I guess i need to replace avery thing except the springs and that plastic rod looking thing. some guys said i need to replace the seals and bushings only. I don't know i've never done this before. Sounds like i'm a virgin. biggrin.gif

Well it could be worse. You could be a virgin sheep in New Zeland nervously watching the shores of the Tasman Sea all the while hoping the locals don't sneak up on you from behind. biggrin.gif
As to the parts problem, have you talked to your local dealer? I have an '81 900F and find that a lot of parts are still available through them. In fact, I have a set of fork bushings and seals for it on shelf right now.

This will tell you exactly what you can get through Race Tech.
In a standard rebuild you do fork seals and bushings - since you're going to have the forks apart you might as well get the correct spring for your weight and riding style... don't forget, you'll need new fork oil, too wink.gif You can also buy Fork Emulators from them (the link above contains more info about this) if you feel so compelled, too. Each little text blurb in the link will tell you more about what each item - the best source is the primary source, right? smile.gif You can also educate yourself of the tools required for each type of work.
