He must have been reading the "Dumbo Ears" thread. fing02.gif

Oh, and I sent him the following PM on EBAY:

Hi, we over on vfrdiscussion.com are wondering who you are and if you're known to the internet VFR community at large?

Nice job on the HID headlight conversion.

Sad to hear you're selling the bike, there's some interest in the headlight conversion, if you'd like to expound on the job you did, our members would like to hear about it, you're welcome to join and post about the headlight mod even if you do sell the bike.

I saw it earlier today, very nice bike, like the wheels and the headlights. It had a cool plate too.

Rob's sig line pic was the first thing I thought of when I saw his plate.

I'm dreading going down to the DMV next week to stand in line to apply for my Alabama plate "Vee Four".

I saved a set of projector headlights from my old Infinity just to see if I can come up with a use. This looks good! fing02.gif

Thats my baby... I'll have to give you guys some info on the light mod later tonight, i'm off to work. Yes they are lights from a 2001 911. As well as the ballasts, ignitors, harnesses etc. I'm reluctantly selling my favorite bike because my wife wont ride on it and we have a cruiser bike also. Too many toys and not enough room. sad.gif

I'll have to gather some pics. i really didn't think of taking pictures while i was making the system. My first attempt was on my DRZ400S. Those were bright! But not focused enough for street use. The VFR lights made it though the DMV inspection.

bike looks great.

so do the projector headlights actually improve brightness? if so, significantly better? i.e., is this a mod worthwhile for safety/practicality reasons, or mostly for the looks? thx.

Must have immediately. The blacked out reflectors look evil...
