Hey,
I just got a 1986 VF500 in great shape, only 7k miles. On a scale of 1-10, I give the nighttime visibility maybe a 1. Maybe. Straight up dangerous. The stock headlamp seems to be about 2 watts...
What are my options? Can the bulb inside the stock housing be upgraded with a PIAA/halogen/modern alternative? Could I install additional driving lights? Lastly is the alternator (250w I think??) powerful enough to support additional lighting?
Got caught on an unlit highway last week after dark, and it was like the bike had no headlight at all. Welcome ang advice you guys might have. thanks a lot,
