I was at Rider Training Enterprises and they had a VFR700 for sale. I think it was a 1986. I almost $h1t when I saw the price tag.

$7000 !!!

I will admit it looked like it was uncrated yesterday, but kelly blue book value is less than $2000. Is there something about a pristine white VFR700 that makes it worth $7K ?

It is worth exactly whatever someone is willing to pay, and not a penny more!

They are rare and loved. Finding one in factory new condition would be very special. I saw a nearly factory mint 88 RC30 for sale on EBAY for $12,000. I believe that's more than they were brand new. They have sold for as much as $15,000.

Comparing an RC 30 and a VFR 700 is like comparing the difference between shooting a bullet and throwing it!
I drooped $1k for my bike and it was worth about that much.
NICK! and i had to clean the carbs and do a few more not so fun things to get her back to life.
Now if its in perfect shape! And i mean perfect! with no scratches and has been well maintained and includes all the componets and is well documented then well maybe i would pay $7k.
But what you need to do is remove the top of that 7 and then they may have a deal!
If not then save your can and buy a new VFR.
