I finally found my Interceptor. I have wanted one for the last few years now and never really found one in the right price/condition.
Well I think I found her and I bought her.
Still waiting on shipping......... I guess it goes to show that bikes that I was around as a child will be dear to me forever.
Looks like I will be waiting 4-13 business days for it to get here.
P.S. I can't wait to start talking about suspension upgrades and about how I want to paint it black, but I should keep it all original..........or what exuast to put on it for 40 fake hp and 3.2 real ones goofy.gif
A 1985 VFR700 in red, white, and blue.
Very Unique. You might want to reconsider painting such a classic. Thats a real collector there.
Enjoy your new ride this summer.

Nice bike!
I was given the opportunity to pick up the same bike last year (same year and model and color) for cheap, and I passed. Would go back and buy it today if I could...

Odd, the only person I know around here that had a ceptor back in the day had this exact color scheme. He called it a rare Japanese color scheme. He was saying the very same thing today. Then again he already insisted on first dibs on it if I ever sell it. biggrin.gif
I almost hope that the original paint is messed up enough for me to justify a custom paint job. I can almost see the mouthshaped opening line for the flames/peel/tribal/teeth to start from.
Or maybe repaint the lower fairing so that the red line is straight........
Tires/suspension/dig out of storage maint comes first. meh

That's a unique ceptor.
So, I guess everything ended up ok from that wreck...? I bet the cop had no problem figuring out who to right the ticket to.
I don't have a pic of the bike to post, so I put some in my gallery of a bike I was given in a a box and started dumping money into.
I got her this afternoon. I have been cleaning and changing oil and anti freeze. I would have changed the plugs but I need some sort of Honda only spark plug socket?
I guess I don't have to worry about making much of a stand.
I have a center-stand beer.gif fing02.gif
I have to get out the house now. It's raining, still. It is supposed to clear up by Tuesday....... Anyone know and anti-rain dances?

It doesn't need to be a Honda brand. For it, I needed to ask for a deep, thin-walled socket at my local auto-parts store. However, I am sure that Honda make a part for it, should you want it.
13/16 right? I'll make some calls around and see if anyone has one.
Thanks. Looks like the rain has stopped, so I'm getting ready to test the old girl out now.
I cleaned most of her up last night. I still have some polishing and detail work to do. I also have to fix the horn before I put the other fairings back on. Till then, these will have to do.

Not too ugly for a 21 year old dash
Lol, not VFR related, but this is how I defined sport riding until I got a proper sport bike.
