Hey everybody. Now that I'm getting my new tires put on, the next two items i want to tackle/fix are my windshield and my gauges. The windshield is old and beat up and i just need a new one. The gauges have two problems. One, the light for my gauges does not work, its probably just the bulb. Is it easy to fix that bulb and easy to buy that bulb? Also, the little round plastic is craked on my speedometer, and its bugging me to death. Does anyone know if I can buy and replace just that plastic peice, or do I have to get the whole assembly.

I was in the *exact* same situation. Let me tell you what I did:

GAUGES:
Service Honda had the clear plastic replacements in stock, and they were $9 each. This was 2 years ago, today might be different. It is worth a try.

WINDSCREEN:
Mine was very beat up and scratched. Since I had nothing to loose if I made it worse, I wet sanded the windscreen. I started with 400 grit, then went to 600, and then 800. For the final step, I used aluminium polish (yes, that is aluminium polish!) on the plastic with a cotton wheel and a drill.

The results were amazing! It was crystal clear, and all scratches were gone!
