Throttlemeisters For All

I know the no-need-to-be-named huge auction site needs no advertisement, but in looking for a throttlemeister, I found this:

I sent them a question about availability of the new black version, which I think would look great on our bikes. I'll keep y'all posted.

Can't you just get them off the throttlemeister site for about the same price or a little cheaper???

How do they work. Seems like a lot of money for just some bar ends. There must be more to them than the pictures would lead you to believe.

The right one serves as a throttle lock too. When I went to TN / FL this spring one of the guys I rode with had one and loved it to death. I have a cheap VistaCruise that works . . . once in a while. If you're planning to do anything resembling touring you'll definitely want something to give your right hand a rest.

At the risk of sounding overzealous, the Throttlemeister is a wonder of a little invention, it's simply a bar end that cams/shims the edge of your thottle, keeping it open and giving your right hand a much needed rest. No matter how tight I would cinch the one on my '94, a forceful twist (panic situation) easily overcame the friction lock.

I've yet to mod anything on my bike, but the TM will be the very very first thing, I consider it essential for rides over 30 minutes.

Agreed. I can't say enough good about it. If you're leary of spending $130, just pick up a cramp buster for ~$10. Not as cool and won't allow you to completely rest your paw, but better than nothing.

I use both at the same time...I ride for hours at a stretch.
