Hi boyz!

Just a bit of a head's up for those of you who, like me, are conscious about finding value away from the hype of the major brand's marketing and bs :)

Buying Shell Rotella-T dino oil at $58 for 20 liters amounts to $11.60 per 4 liter oil change... see this reference :

http://www.yft.org/tex_vfr/tech/oil.htm

And get a Walmart ST7317 at $2.07 (only available in the US though, Canucks should stock up when travelling south)... see this reference :

Just as a comparative, if I would do exactly as my owner's guide says, and bought the Honda oil at $14.99 per liter, and the oil filter at $17.99, the oil change would cost, with taxes... $89.66 !!!!

My friend has an '05 VTEC and he went with the Rotella-T too, and neither of us has noticed any change in transmission smoothness.

And... by the way... a great drive in NY state... Adirondacks State Park... especially route 30, off route 3, between Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake !! Lots of really nice curves, not too treacherous, great smooth asphalt (I insist on the latter, being from Quebec and having horrendous road quality...) :wheel:

Thanks so much for the motorcycleinfo reference...that answers a LOT of questions I had about several filter manufacturers and what I was going to use my next oil change.
