Hi Mike, I'm sorry that I can't help you with a formula, but if you look up 'paint supply' in your local yellow pages, you may find someone to help you. I know a couple shops in my area that call these guys(usually someone they have an account with). The reason they do this, for example, is when they get a job in that requires a match, they can pull the paint code, and order the paint pre-mixed, as supplied by the manufacturer of choice(Dupont, PPG, etc.)
*Now* The other reason they call is to talk with the supplier to check first if they have the components already on hand(in the shop's paint bank). What they will do from there is mix a batch of paint from their stock instead of buying a set quantity from the supplier. Doing this not only saves them on materials per job, but also allows them to fine-tune the tint/color of the paint to match the existing parts, which they may need to do anyway when they spend more on a pre-mixed quantity.
So what I'm saying is, you can call them and get the paint formula. Which can also be done by any legitimate shop you take your work to.
Just another quickie: Parts with a metallics or pearls in either the base or mid coat should be sprayed while resting in a position similar to the way they are installed on the vehicle. Something about the way the material lands has an effect on the look, because of the way the light will refract through it.
