Hi all. Finally started production of 5th gen. Bug Busters. Smoothing of the process is ongoing. Got the first one off. (Got a bit heavy on the clear coat). Need to take this one down and re-clear, but you get the idea. I'm afraid it's black only now. C.F. and texilums are in the works. They are what they are.
HUrry up Travis - we almost lost MCREW to a vicious bee attack yesterday. THe poor Bastage had to jump off his bike, rip his gear off and get out of his one piece leathers to get the bee out that went in through the neck. He got stung once, and maybe bitten - I didn't think bees could sting twice in a row?
How Much are they for the fifth gen? What are you charging for shipping to Oregon?
vince
Vince,
As they are not as difficult as 6th gens. and only black, $60.00 + $5.00 ship in the U.S.
AB-Oz, Sep 17 2006, 09:14 AM I'm guessing this is only to fit the oem screen? My ZG has a slighly bigger bug opening sad.gif
These are for stockers. Can you P.M. me Measurements of the opening size? Could make a mold for them also. Modding a mold for these would not be as difficult, as it mounts totally on the outside, of the windscreen. Z.G., to be honest has been a thorn in my side, on 6th. gens.
I would, at that point, be looking for testers, locally, and in the states.

Anyone?
Are you going to do some CF ones? I'd be interested in that.

Rivcyko,
I have a zero gravity double buble on my bike. Are you doing screens for these? Do you need measurements?
Sorry Trav, I've been without internet service for a while due to moving and buying a new house (well, the first but still...). I went without a job for about a month in order to get everything in order, get packed and moved, plus getting everything going. I'm in the midst of trying to recoup the checking acct. so I'll let you know in a couple of weeks but I definatly want one since I've bugged you so much. Thanks for the PM reminder.
Rivcyko, Sep 20 2006, 05:46 PM Abso-tivly, pos-olutly. Wanna get a few reactions to the regular ones, re-qualify mold, then, it's on. (Don't want to waste C.F. on oopsies.)
OK, cool. I like the look of the whole deal. I'm just not too commited to keeping my bike red, so I'd rather have the CF. I figure that goes with anything! cool.gif
I have pics in my gallery, that show the measurments I need. The next best is buying one of each windscreen, and yadd, yadda,..Too broke to do that again. LOL. It gets expensive quick.
They are designed to accept some variances, but not more than 1/8" or so.
I have a 5th Gen with a ZG Touring shield, if you like I can ship my shield to you to confirm fit to a ZG shield. If you do not think it is necesary for you to use my ZG that is ok too. I would love a CF version if possible, let me know how much, it would go well with the CF dash & yoke cover I got.

Thanks Will and Kevin. Glad you guys like them. Feel free to post your take on them, after install, and some miles. (That's the true test). Good or bad. Thank you again.

I'm having a hard time recognizing the problem with that open gap in the front of the windshield.
He made me one of Carbon Fiber. Carbon Fiber. It is a bad ass place to put some sweet Carbon Fiber! idea3.gif Look at the front of the bike, it has some Carbon Fiber! cool.gif
