Check out some of these pics. Some of the first pics of the Honda on the web at the bottom of the page. It sounds like they haven't even released the info on engine configuration, yet. What is that in the left side pic? Is there a rear facing cylinder head in there? Part of the airbox? (-edit)Right side pic clearly shows it as a head. Look for the exhaust on the Honda. It's 9am EST...just read confirmation on Yahoo UK's MotoGP page that HRC will indeed be using an 800cc V4 in the coming MotoGP season! Sound familiar guys?!
I would bet $20 it's a V-4. It has the weight advantage for the new 800cc MotoGP rules, as well as the dual exhausts, which exit the left and right sides. I highly doubt it's a V-2. Look at how long that swingarm is! The Suzuki is itty bitty. Or the rider is 6'6".
V-4 seems to be the engine of choice for Ducati, Suzuki and now Honda. Yamaha is going with an I-4. I wonder what Kawi's doing? Hmmm...
Actually, it's 3. Look at the picture closely. This is the 2006 RC211V. There are 2 near the rear wheel on the right side (one megaphone and one slashcut) and one underneath the exhaust.

I stand corrected, was it that way on the 05's. Because the write up on the RC in CycleWorld (I think, or one of those other mag rags) said that it consisted of one 1-1 exhaust (front middle cylinder) and one 4-2-1 exhaust (all the rest). Guess they likely change exhaust and other parts as much as they change their drawers.

I saw that, too! It does have bolt holes on the hub. Good looking wheel, though! If you notice on some of the other pics of the Honda, the tires are marked "Travel." All the teams have wheel/tire sets that are used for transport only. I'd guess that is a travel wheel without rotors.
Actually, remember that post a while back aobut the guy at deals gap with no front rotors? supposedly just in case he got too grabby? Maybe the duc rider doesn't inspire too much confidence in his techs?
Ducati is experimenting with the Fred Flinstone method of braking to save wieght. Oh and who thought that Honda would do anything other than a V4? LIKE YEA RIGHT!
