My girlfriend Shannon really enjoyed "railing the Dragon" during the Fall Dragon ride and very much appreciated everyone that rode with us during the event. She actually liked the tighter stuff more than the faster Sweepers! huh.gif Here she is on the Dragon on her BMW R1100s
She ended up just telling me to take off so she could just run it(Dragon) herself, she was very happy at the overlook saying she had a clean run with no traffic! blink.gif (Wish I could say the same) and showed off here new Dragon beer cozie for a photo.
She road the same VFR that I let HS ride for the event and really liked it, she's thinking about selling her SV650s and buying a nice 5th or 6th gen VFR as her second bike. I think that would be awesome and we always welcome more female rider's, especially on VFR's.

idea3.gif Just build her one with all those spare parts you got laying everywhere. But make her sign papers saying that it's yours so she don't run off with it. warranty.gif biggrin.gif
Hey I'd always welcome more female riders. biggrin.gif Ever get the fealing that I ride him too much about that?

I'll just let her buy one and I won't have to mess with my inventory! wink.gif
That's a pretty sweet BMW she has. I guess you two don't live together or you'll have bikes spilling out into the street!
My girlfriend just got her license. I don't think she is ready for a VFR, but someday soon she will be!! Then, I WILL have a 5th gen, and I'll keep the 4th gen for her!!! I am a genius I tell ya, a genius. idea3.gif

It's a 04 and their Sportiest model, it handles fantastic! No she also has here own housetwo dogs, and a bigger garage! fing02.gif
I'm suggesting a 3rd, 4th, or 5th gen, and she like my 6th gen too! beer.gif

I like the tighter stuff better as well. I will push harder on tight slower sections because your speed is lower in the event of a crash. I would rather crash at 25 than 95. I also love those 180+ degree switchbacks the most, because you can see all the way through them and go 10/10ths and still ride within sight lines.
VFR4Lee, Sep 25 2006, 10:15 PM I wouldn't presume to say she's perfect for you, but I'm guessing that riding is a prerequisite for any woman dating BaileyRock. Cheers Man. beer.gif
Actually she is my first riding (her own bike) G/F! fing02.gif
UH OHH she is already faster than most guys on vfrs as it is! Me myself I was thinking of dumping my XR650r for a 650gs Dakar (electric start for jebus sake!) I think Aprillia makes the exact same bike - rotax engine and all is this true? Poindexter buys a Honda and I get a Beemer?

fing02.gif Baileyrock's School of High Performance Riding graduate! rolleyes.gif She has done an outstanding job of getting past (almost completely) her Big crash of last year where she busted her old R1100s in half! blink.gif I've very proud of the huge jump she made this year and I think using the SV650 helped that progress much faster. I call it coming to the Dark Side, where she no longer really has to think about how to ride. She just feels it now! beer.gif
Nice move for Shannon! beer.gif Sounds like she's converting to the dark side of bikes too. biggrin.gif I guess if I found a woman that would ride like that, It'd be the last one for me too.
Always have a warm spot for blissful riding couples......hope you both continue to ride and enjoy life happily together..........by the pictures, looks like the Baileyrock School of High Performance Riding is turning out stellar students. Suppose if Shannon gets a VFR you would need to take a "test ride" to make sure everything is sound...Heh, Heh, Heh............. goofy.gif beer.gif

I think Blissful is exactly what she's thinking putting up with me! rolleyes.gif Here's one of those blissful shots
[image: IPB Image] It's a given that I have to test all bikes to make sure all is Safe! wink.gif thanks
skuuter, Sep 27 2006, 09:47 AM Mildly curious....I notice quite an expression difference...did you not get YOUR turn in the bathroom that morning.......... goofy.gif
Exactly and she's smiling because she knows I'll be pinching it all day! rolleyes.gif Full gear is a real pain in these situations! unsure.gif
She was also the camera (wo)man for all these shots!

She did a great job on the BMW. If her BMW handles anything like a K1200RS she should find the VFR easier to ride the in the twisties. Anyway that has been my experience.

Paul It handles better in the tight stuff than a K1200S, haven't ridden the RS yet. Funny Shannon likes the tighter stuff better. unsure.gif
The K1200RS is perfect for the Cherohala but with the steering damper it is a lot of work in the tight stuff. I have ridden an R1100s but I had just finished a 400 mile ride on a Kaw. Ex 250 and was so wore out that I just hurt when I got on the BMW. In other words I really don't remember what it was like. I like the tight stuff too biggrin.gif
