Well, it is October 5th, and in 2 days I will no longer be a single man. My Fiance (or is that Finance-er) have been dating for 4 years and are making it official. Absolutely can't wait for it to be here. It however is just a wee bit stressful, kinda can't wait either till it is over so that things can return to normal.
This week has been completely crazy, wedding, wedding, wedding. Until monday, when Megan (my soon to be wife) learned that her best friend from high school was killed in a car accident. Really brought things into perspective. Nothing like having more irons in the fire than you can handle, then in one minute realize how un-important they really are.
Back to the positive, sunday after the wedding, we leave for the Grand Cayman Islands for a week, so I absolutely can't wait. Get away from work for a week and spend some much deserved alone 491.gif time with the new wife.
Congratulations. We just celebrated our one year anniversary.
Do yourself a favor and take a moment alone with your wife during the reception to savor the moment. It goes by so fast and so many people will be in one place just for you two!

Congratulations. I was just in a friend's wedding in St. Louis last weekend. Another one this weekend, another one next weekend. It seems like everyone but me is getting married. Oh well, I don't have to call anybody, ask anybody, I just do what I want when I want, ride whenever. For now, that is the way I like it. Congrats again. We still need to meet up sometime.
Congrats! My wife and I celebrate our 1 year anniversary this month. I can't describe the feeling when you get in the car after the reception and finally realize the entire wedding is behind you. All that planning, decision making, ect is done and you look at each other with relief and say "OK, what's next".
Hopefully your wife hasn't planned the big wedding my wife put me through. She still refuses to tell me what they spent as she knows I'd probably flip.
My advice - (1.) Even though tempted, don't drink too much at the reception. It's hard enough to remember what happened that day anyway. (2.) Get the reception place to set aside a plate for you and your wife. You won't get a chance to eat otherwise.

Dont worry, Be happy...In a couple months me and my wife will be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. I was Nervous also counting down the days until enslavement/marriage..LOL.. I hope you and the bride to be the Very best and that life treats you both well...

It breaks my heart to see so many fellows try to get into riding AFTER being married - often to meet with nothing but frustration.
My wife has ridden as a passenger now on two different VFRs and a Harley. Believe me...she could...well...take it or leave it. dry.gif
Congratulations!!! My mom offered me a beer.gif at 10:00 am on my wedding day...she said I looked nervous. Go figure. It was certainly one of the best, most fun days I have ever had. That was 25 years ago and the little missus can still surprise me in oh so many ways. wink.gif Hope you two are as fortunate.
Congrats! We just celebrated our 4th anniversary last week. Just remember all the little things that go wrong during the ceremony will be mostly overlooked by the attendees so don't worry about them. And be prepared to meet your new wife because no matter how much you think you know her, you'll both change. Even if you lived together before, now there are legalities involved and things WILL be different. Just roll with the punches and enjoy. beer.gif
