After all the talk of a 1000cc inline 4, i could not pass the deal up. Going Italian again but this time not Ducati. Bought a 2004 Aprilia Mille R with only 1600 miles on it. It has a Power commander, TigCraft Titanium exhaust, Aprilia Airkit, Carbon fiber hugger (and factory one), other carbon goodies. plus came loaded with accessories (jacket , stands ect....)

Here is the maintenance hog in her glory.....

did something wrong with photobucket???? my pictures shrank

Nah, Photobucket shrinks them to their maximum file size if they're too big. Dunno about image size but I think that's how they do it.

Did the previous owner polish the swing arm too or is it stock that way?

I really like the gray primer body panels and it almost has a NACA duct. [image: IPB Image]
Ok I'll say it, congratulations Eric, it looks great. Nice to have you back on two wheels after such a long absence. tongue.gif
#4
So now you have to make it to the cnetral FL ride coming up to show it off. You should take it to the SBTT track day the day before at Jennings to get it broken in.

i refuse to call it a naca duct....you will never hear that from me. it is a "ram air inlet".

the long delay....phewww that was a rough week!!!

Nice ride. I love that wonky Itallian design. I'd be riding a Duc if I thought I could keep it running on a daily basis. Being an airplane mechanic, I'm guessing wrenching on an Aprillia is no biggie after you've primed a sphixter valve on a 767 or two. Did you see that manure spreader that jackknifed on the Santa Ana?
#19
767's arent all that hard to maintain....just certain areas where you cry "why me god!" if it werent for the dang 6000 mile valve adjustments everyone should own a Duc. I loved mine. until the valve adjustments came due. then i loved it some more. then valve adjustments came due...(keep repeating). all up until the cute 20 year old girl yapping on her cell phone decided to make it a hood ornament.

Congrats on the new bike. That's something else I tell ya. beer.gif

I don't think you mentioned that she was 20 and cute. Now your wreck doesn't sound so bad.

Nice Aprilia, I always liked how those looked. Keep us posted on how it rolls.

will do joe. after all....you are a part of the reason i got it.

and cute was not the real word. i remember looking up from the stretcher and she was trying to give me a hug and say she was sorry (after about an hour of screaming it was not her fault ....we dont need police involved...ect...) She was STUNNING! i remember almost forgiving her or trying to get her Number.

Seriously, congratulations. The year the RSV's got introduced, my bike went in for a service. And what did the !@#$% dealer do? He said "oh, take this demo RSV for a couple of hours while we do the service".
What an amazing ride!
