Probably out of my $$ range, but I appreciate the thought, Ken.
I refuse to believe that there isn't a single shop within a couple hundred miles of here with the stock I'm looking for... (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/unsure.gif)

Seb - the prices were not insane...... Serious - it might be worth the inquiry.

Seb be sure to try on some AGV stuff if you can find it. I bought a two piece a month or so ago and am really pleaed with the fit, quality and especially the price. I shrank a lot and my old stuff doesn't fit anymore. BTW if you can wear a 46 jacket and a 34 pant I can make you a sweet deal on a two piece.
SEBSPEED, Dec 2 2006, 08:06 PM Anybody know of a shop ANYWHERE in/near NY where one could try on a variety of leather suits(1 or 2 piece) and Sidi boots??
I know all about the best places to buy online, but I want to find out what fits first!! I want to shop now for a purchase in the spring, going with Sidi Vertigo Air boots, and would prefer a two piece suit unless I find a 1-piece that fits well.
I like the look of Joe Rocket stuff, Alpinestars, Komodo, etc.
Anyone know of a shop with a good selection in NY/Mass/Jersey/New Hampshire/...???
Didn't we just do this a month or so ago?
Or was that another list?
I remember it and I remember that there were useful sounding results.

That happens to be about right, but I like to go new with gear, esp. leather. Is this the Honda stuff you had up for a while, with the funny ad?
I don't want to sound like I'm being picky, it's just that I have a few things in mind already, which I'd like to try on without paying shipping fees. I can't make the buy until tax return time anyway. (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/comp13.gif)
I consider myself a stocky 5'9", about 195lbs, I wear a size 44 Icon Daytona which fits snug, and have a 33 Levi's waist with a ~32 inseam.

I just can't remember which list.
If it was this one, I must be blind (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/huh.gif)

Do they usually have a good selection in their stores?

The Nashville store pretty much sucks for leather but they have several boots. In leather they have Frank Thomas (the house brand) and a few things from Dainese (really nice but expensive). These were the only suits they had. They had some Icon and AlpineStars jackets in leather and bunch of mesh stuff. Hopefully your stores up there will have more.

While I wasn't looking for leathers at the time, I have been to the Manchester store and my impression was that they didn't have a lot in the leather dept. A lot of Frank Thomas and some A*. Store seemed to be focused on motocross.

That's good to know, thanks!! I should probably call down there and ask what they've got before driving down...
Sebastian If you are going to take Ken up on his offer and check out Toronto make sure to go to GP Bikes http://www.shopgpbikes.com/index.asp They are one of the largest Joe Rocket dealers in Canada, when I visited Toronto this past summer I was able to outfit my kid there at very good priceing, and while you are there you can drool over the Ducati's

If you run out of options, try newenough.com. They have great customer service and an excellent return policy. I was buying some leathers from them and was not sure between two sizes. They sent me both sizes to try on. I simply returned the ones that did not fit. No problem!

Thanks, I've had good experiences with them. I would rather find a store to try things on in.

Hey....might be a little far for you, but Brockton cycle (Brockton MA) has a large selection of motorcycling gear, including one and two piece suits.

Yeah, that's about 200 miles, one way. At 30mpg, that's about 14 gallons, so about $33 in gas. How big did you say the selection was? What brands do they carry, and do they have a good selection of sizes in each type?
Thanks for the tip!! (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/smile.gif)

I'm taking them into consideration along with many others. Still leaning towards Joe Rocket Speedmaster pants, or similarly-styled pants, I'm shooting for two piece at this point, but if I find a one piece that fits for the right price first...
Anyone else have a leads on a well stocked shop? (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/warranty.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/lurk.gif)
