Well, we had another great day outside, so I took the bike out again. Saturday's highs were in the mid 30's but it was just to sunny out to stay in. I bundled up (no electrics or grips yet) and headed out to get and do a little scavenger hunting.
The sun wasn't supposed to set 'til a little after 4:00 which gave me about another 90 mins of sun riding, so I continued on to the Wachusett Mt. Ski Area. The temperature dropped some more, as you'll see.
Then he gave a jolly laugh, [/br] (IMG:http://www.vfrdiscussion.com/forum/uploads/1165691431/gallery_7184_2198_498882.jpg) 12-10-2006 Ride Pictures 002.jpg [br]
and said that we'd have a great holiday. [/br] (IMG:http://www.vfrdiscussion.com/forum/uploads/1165691431/gallery_7184_2198_416473.jpg) 12-10-2006 Ride Pictures 001.jpg [br]
Good for you! (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/fing02.gif) It got to around 50 today, but I was just to lazy to through a rear tire on and even my spare wheels has toasted tires on them. So much for planning! (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/huh.gif)
I have an extra set from the BOGO free Avon deal just for that occasion.
Since you are from the south, I'm sure that you have plenty of time left for riding, but I'm going to take advantage of it when I can. Get a tire, BR, that way when I can't ride, I can keep going back to watch your videos. It makes PMS go by much quicker.
Hobie1dog, Dec 10 2006, 09:37 PM I thought heated grips were MANDATORY where you live. (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/goofy.gif)
I'm using the doubled up gloves technique! I'm pretty sure I'll have a wrapped present to install after the 25th. Since moving from FL, I'm finding out how mandatory they are!
On a double today and all the kiddies at work were taunting me telling me about their rides. They salted around here on Thursday so i am not so sure about a ride, maybe wednesday morning. Awesome pictures! (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/fing02.gif) They let you up that close to the Mental Hospital? The one near me they would arrest you for being too close to, now they are building condos up there. I love those old buildings. Hopefully be able to catch up with you during the spring. ride safe on those icy streets!

A few of the town's in the area salted and sanded, but many others didn't, or seems like they didn't put much down. I heard we're due for a little rain this week, but no snow and the weather dot com folks say that Saturday is shaping up to be a pretty good day. Hope you get a chance to enjoy the "Indian Fall." The Old Worcester State Hospital is an amazing sight. If you are bored someday, search it on the internet and you'll find a bunch of old pictures and information. It must have been an amazing sight to see before the industry part of Worcester was built around it. You should come and check it out next year if you get the time. You can still drive/ride right past it, but it is fenced off around the buildings, so you still can't look in very much.
The only problem: if this weather keeps up, I'm never going to get anything done to my bike! I said that I was going to have my last ride about a month ago, but the weather keeps me out there (not that I'm complaining).
Sat and sun lookng good. At least for a little ride. (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/happy.gif) Heated grips or glove liners are looking really good right now. With the rain we got today and expected this week we wont have to fear the dreaded salt.

Oh I have several sets of tires, I just haven't mounted any on my wheels yet! (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/unsure.gif) Just lazy. Now it's in the 60's here for a few days and if I would have had a set mounted I might have just taken the day off to ride, very nice outside right now and the low was only in the mid 40's last night!

I wish it were here! I really need to get down there to see your neck of the woods.
