absolutley can be done. he fedex's (ups, usps overnights) them to the Hotel you are staying. if you are there longer than a week he can cheaply send them usps priority for a lot cheaper to your hotel.
Or get them mailed to a nearby Vifferhead who would deliver them to your hotel for the cost of a couple Wobbly-pops in the lounge. (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/beer.gif)

I know for a fact this is true. This is how I used to send stuff to my Grandfather when he was alive. He was a snow bird and followed the warm weather in his RV. He would call to let us know where he was heading next.
Send the package in his name in care of the postmaster at a particular zip code where you plan on visiting. They will hold it until you walk up and show ID to retrieve the package.

Yup, that's the context I heard too except it was for a guy on a riding tour. He'd send himself little "care packages" with food (he camped), new underwear, oil and filter, some cash, etc.
