Beck, Dec 16 2006, 08:35 PMJust curious, How did you lose that part on your bike?? That's kinda way in there to just drop off. Some undertail exhaust work in the past?
Beck 95 VFR
I didn't lose it; I 'modified' it in order to make room for the CBR929 shock I'm installing. The reservoir would have interfered with the horizontal part on the right (near the exhaust headers). I cut it off, then fiddled with the rear ignition coils until I decided that it would be far easier to simply rotate the shock 180. So now I'd like the shield back the way it was, if possible. I don't want any extra heat getting to those coils.

Can you still get to the controls for the 929 shock with it turned around? Checking for that shield for you now.

The preload collar, yes... the compression adjuster, yes... the rebound adjuster, eeeehhh, sort of...the exhaust headers are in the way, but I think I'll still be able to get to it. Again, I don't play with my settings once they're set, so hopefully I'll only have to adjust them once.
