Well for a present for myself I finally got the paint done I've been wanting. Just had the matte black on the sides done. Just thought I'd share. Let me know what you think (but It's already done so if you don't like it, tough).

Hey, just noticed the hugger too. Very nice. I would like to purchase a new accessory for my 01 and was thinking about a seat. Is the Corbin seat that much more comfortable than the stocker?

It is the best accessory that I have purchased. I had one on my shadow and when I bought my VFR it only took a couple of times of sliding into the tank before I knew I needed a new seat. I was lucky, I was able to drive to Daytona and Corbin had one in stock. But back to the seat, it takes a bit to break in and it is a little taller, but I really like it. I know alot of people like the Sargent also so make sure to ask around.
Looks awesome! The only suggestion I might have is to continue the white pinstripe back on to the tail section and paint the bottom (i.e. under the pinstripe) the same black. Or leave it as is because it really does look good. I especially like the HONDA on the fairing. Very nice!
That looks great! I think that's about the closest I've seen a 6th gen. look like a race rep, and it looks very sharp. Esp. w/the Staintunes, Corbin, dark windshield and fender chop.

chonsey, Dec 24 2006, 05:05 PMThat looks great! I've been looking for way to break up the red and that may be the ticket. I may have to borrow that idea fing02.gif
If you find good shop (person) to do it let me know i would like to to a Silver upper black lower...

Great looking bike, sounds like your idea will be seen on more 6 gens in the future, great job fing02.gif
Glad I was able to give a good idea. All I ask if you use my idea make sure you don't live in the greater central Florida area. goofy.gif I want my bike to stand out a little.
At one point I had in mind to do the same thing with my F4i, to cover some rock chips. I wussed out and kept it the way it was, but now I'm thinking differently! I was going to use chrome pinstriping tape instead of white.
I think this would look great with some white lettering on the tires, too!
The main reason I decided against it, was I thought it would look out of balance, and that balancing it out with black on top, would take away from that lovely blue too much.
Honda should keep this look through the VFR family. The black bellypan makes the bikes look less massive from the sides and gives it that aggressive angle. Satin black paint is the VFR's friend! fing02.gif

LOVE IT! I do like that it's not overdrawn. I do agree with Theoxmole. JUST A TAD MORE.
I really really like the direction you went with this. I plan on blatantly borrowing your idea and taking it to my painter next week! I don't have an aftermarket windscreen yet (Can't decide on which one!) or Tunes (custom gutted and baffled stock exhaust) I applaud your creativity!
Also planning on powdercoating my rims either a textured black/silver or just black.
Now that's nice. So many bikes are overdone, and as always it's the small ideas that make the design. I really like the pinstripe, & the fact that you've gone for a line font for the "HONDA" just accentuates the finess of the scheme - bloody nice squire fing02.gif Could I ask, do you know where I can get some pinstripe, preferable delivery to UK, as I'm looking to do some adjustments to my 94 FR along the same lines. I can find plenty of bike decals but no-one seems to do pinstripe. Hey, Beck, nice 750 too fing02.gif
