Site shows 483.00, am I missing the sale price somewhere? I've been looking at this helmet for a while as a travel helmet. I might go ahead and pick it up. It's the only flip face helmet I've ever put on that was actually comfortable.

The CX-1V Shoei shield is supposedly the one that fits the Multitec. They come in Light Smoke, Dark Smoke, Amber, etc. if you want an extra shield. These shields are available from several sources on ebay but be suire to add up the price and the shipping and handling charges before you buy. You can pay about $20 too much if you don't. I could not find the shields on the Bob's site but I didn't call and ask.
Replacement cheek pads in different sizes and the various shields are also available at

I wore my new Shoei Mulittec this afternoon for about 4 hours of highway riding. The fit is very nice for my particular head. There is more space for my ears than any other helmet I have ever worn. If you have had your ears hurt for lack of circuclation, you appreciate this feature. The helmet is quiet compared to my other full face Shoei and Arai helmets. The face shield removes and replaces easily. I like a dark smoke shield. The vents controls are large and simple to use with winter gloves. The latch for unlocking and raising the front is also easy to operate. Shoei really did make some improvements over my old Duotec. The Multitec is a high dollar helmet so it should be good. It is. I give the Multitec high grades and my recommendation for whatever that is worth.
