Bump.

I'll be there Saturday, but have no idea what time. The wife & kids will be there with me also. I would say just look for the idiot drooling over the 1098, but there will probably be several of us doing that (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/smile.gif)

I'm going today. Plan to be there at 4 pm when they open. Hopefully I'll beat the normal weekend crowd by going on a Friday evening.

Want to go, had told the boss that I'm taking off at noon... may still make it.

Wife gave me a bunch of crap last night when I said I wanted to go, asking me why... 'cause I want to, that's why. Doesn't seem that hard to figure out. (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/rolleyes.gif)

Ken, you want another roommate? (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/dry.gif)

Am I the only one going on Sunday?

Hmm, come on down. Maybe I will kick the other one out and it will become a bachelor pad. (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/cool.gif)

I doubt if you and I will be the only people there on Sunday. (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/goofy.gif)

Oh yeah, I will have my two sons with me. We plan on being there when they open and maybe jetting after lunch.

I got there around 1:30pm Saturday. No other VFR's to be seen! I fell in with a couple of guys on the way down, one on a 900rr and the other on a zx-9r? (maybe) Big green Kawi at any rate. We made hooligan-like from 285 until I exited on Williams Street. I couldn't believe how the VFR at 120-plus speeds stayed the supersport bikes - in Downtown traffic! I was amazed. In retrospect, the 900rr is a heavyweight- right where I am - (correct me if I'm wrong) and the ZX-9r is a heavywieght too.

Not so much with the clear direction to the Green parking (free for bikes). No signs, signage to the event didn't exist, signage to parking was cryptic if even in place. All this and they expected 50,000 on Saturday? Saw no cops until I got to GWCC. I looped the building twice in shitty traffic, joined a group of Urban Stuntaz for Jesus (U.S.C. , Norcross Local #132) for one loop, decided they were as lost as I was, & then followed my intuition (just like Jewel told me to in that dream - or was it a song?) around the next block to find the Free Bike Parking (FBP) in the Green Lot. In the FBP, it was like the bar scene from Star Wars - any and everything that could be imagined. I parked next to a gang of Duc 916 SPS with every goody imaginable - Magnesium Marchesini's, billet this, carbon that... Those bikes looked like toys or 1:24 scale models compared to my monster Frankenviffer... Could you imagine 300 miles on a 916 SPS? I think the seat actually said "Georgia Pacific"...

Anyways, the show was ok, not much more remarkable that last year. Some cool race bikes, some cool customs, and lots of people...

The best part was coming home, going about 110 mph on 85N. I crossed under North Druid Hills, and saw a Lamborghini Muircielago - black convertible- merge across traffic into the HOV lane behind me at about 45 mph. I looked down at the tach, and by the time I could look in the rear view mirror, the Lambo was on my license plate. The car actually sounded better than the bike at 135 mph...

Monkey, i echo you on the horrible parking snafu. I also thought the show wasnt much, if any better then the previous years up at the Galleria. Why cant there be real venders with "real" gear there. I know i saw cortech/tour master, but no joe rocket, a stars, motogp, etc. Also, why not have demo's. i know other shows across the country have them, why not here? Oh well. LIke i said i wasnt impressed. I have gone the last several years, and i think they where better.

Yeah thats why I didnt go this year. Its always the same. There is never any concept bikes or anything. I assume they had the same old boring ball of steel stunt show thing again this year? Gets old...

GWCC doesn't have a lot of imagination when it comes to shows. More of a get em' in, get em out mentality... I also thought the show had a lot of stunta flash and Harley crap - not a lot of real stuff...
