Yep,

Biaggi, me no likey. I used to love watching Valentino beat him senseless every Sunday. I am hoping Toseland does well this year.

Poor guy, got bumped down to WSB. Must not have any "tail" left after being hyped up,
then kicked around Moto GP.

Gonna be an interesting year.

The guy is a tool and I will never root for him. I still remember noone being around him when I asked for an autograph, and the little nat just kept walking (I have to go over there, maybe later). What fan base?
#5
He will probably end up as an Anchor for SPEED CHANNEL, giving his expert commentary. It will match the extremely poor video quality of the races. (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/blink.gif)
#6
he's not very likable... but he's a very fast rider - you guys shouldn't kid yourselves about that.
#7
Well if Nicky Haden would pal around with him when they werent racing he couldnt be all that bad, either that or Nicky is nicer than we could imagine! I was thinking the same thing perhaps the butt chewing he got his last season of Motogp took a little off the back end? Or he doesnt want to get he brains bashed in? Bad jokes - no more bad jokes. I think he could have been much more competitive this year with the smaller 800's simply cause he was brilliant on the smaller gp bikes, he carries tremendous corner speed, which is more suited to the smaller bikes like the 800's he probably would not be lowsiding like he did so many times on the Camel and the Malboro bikes.

Biaggi might still be in the motogp if someone would have stapled his lips shut at season opening. maybe people might even start to like his style if we were deaf! GO REPOSOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you guys see the results from the first round,he's still a fast dick

No spoilers here please. (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/warranty.gif)

gg2wheel4me, Feb 24 2007, 01:26 AMPoor guy, got bumped down to WSB.

You don't get bumped down from MotoGP to WSB, as Troy Bayliss demonstrated in last seasons final MotoGP race (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/wink.gif)

IMO I think it was all Nicky being a really nice guy. Biaggi is a natural born turd fondler.

What channel are the races on? Speed? I need to go hit up my schedule, didn't realize it started already. When does MotoGP start?

What's his line of work again? Being the nicest guy around? Philanthropist? Oh, no, he is a racer, that's right. We should, and I emphasize on should, appreciate a racer for what he does on the track. The rest is just bonus. . . if you care about that stuff. I use to, not anymore. Now, I totally enjoy watching a race for what it is. The feud, the bad mouthing, the "curses" don't affect me anymore.

We should all be happy that the guys who are not "friendly" enough for our tastes are racers, not teachers nor doctors.

Hear Hear, well said Stephane.

Anyone else watch the Faster dvd? Something about his mother abandoning the family when he was a child? He didn't start riding / racing bikes until his late teens? His (some say admirable) style is to win or crash?

I dont know the guy, but how many of us could say that if we (kindof) suddenly found ourselves in the lime light of (world class) motorcycle racing would completely resist it going to your head a bit?

I wonder how many of us could make oursleves into world class racers with nothgin more then "I'm seventeen and I found out I really like it?"

Regards,

So Biaggi could be a child molester and it wouldn't matter because he's a good racer? After all, it doesn't effect his racing skills.

Are you serious about that remark? Obviously you don't know me, and I am sorry you can draw that kind of conclusion from what I said.

You stated that we should ignore what the racer acts like off the track and focus on his racing alone. I'm trying to make a point that it does and should matter what he acts like regardless that it doesn't effect his racing on the track. Yes my example was extreme, but I'm trying to get a point across.

Keep the flames down guys!

And Yeah, Biaggi ain't Mr. Wonderful, but on the right bike, on the right track, on the right day, he's fast as greased lightning!

I think Stphane meant we should commend a racer for his abilities, not for his attitude. It was pretty obvious to me that was the main point he was trying to make.

It doesn't matter to me. If the guy is a douch (like Max is), I don't care how he races. Rossi makes more questionable passes than most riders, but I still like him because he is personable and approachable. Dani, now that is another story. LDS I think with that one.
#22
Max is a prick off the track and on the track. The only time I ever saw a racer push another racer off the track was when Biaggi pushed Valentino who was trying to go around the outside exiting a right hand corner. They were probably going 120mph or more. In my book that is not racing.
#23
I hope he helps put on a good show. A little controversy or rivalry never hurts. (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/tongue.gif)

As if any of us could keep him in sight. Even if he was on a 250 Ninja or something. (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/rolleyes.gif)

I stand corrected. I forgot about that move. Rossi was very aggressive and it was quit clear he took the line away from Gibernau. I still feel Biaggi's move against Rossi was over the line. They were simply going to fast and Biaggi should have known better.

You guys dont realize how easy i have it. not really caring to much about street bike racing has given me an edge! I dont have to worry if biaggi is a nice guy or not....heck i didnt even know he was still racing, let alone racing WSB. (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/tongue.gif)
