ToddACimerHey Everybody, I'm new around here. I'm living in Milford for the summer and I just got a 99 VFR800 on 6/30/07. I've put about 1600 miles on it so far and I really like it. I'm riding up to Houghton Lake this weekend. Hopefully I can meet up with a couple of you sometime.
Howdy! Welcome to this section, of the nut-house.
foolio3256Welcome to the group! These are great guys and know their stuff. On a Side note... Anyone interested in riding this thursday down in Royal Joke?!!! I am currently installing my frame sliders from motovation. Turns out the dealer sold me a California model!!! So I have all this extra Emissions Crap on it  So installing my right side sliders is going to be as complicated as installing my left side!!! I was up till 1 am last night #$$%^% with it.
Well, how'd they come out? Got some trim, for the hole, if you need it. (That didn't sound right). :joystick:
LobsterGuys...sheesh...I've been out of touch...23 pages of new posts when I signed in this evening. What's going on with me? Well, plenty. Child #3 was born on June 18th and we basically haven't stopped since. It's been a constant cavalcade of people coming over to see the baby, plus working 4 days for my father in law, then working two weekends for my buddy Vince and his landscaping company, plus some travel for work, all the while trying to adjust to the new zone defense at home...needless to say, the bike hasn't been out much this summer.
Now we're selling our house so I have a number of honey-do's on the list yet to get done. We are staying in Michigan, but will likely move south or southwest...out of Oakland county...hopefully to somewhere like Saline or Brighton or Pinckney...so you aren't going to get rid of me that easily. If you know of anyone looking for a nice ranch, in tip top shape, in White Lake Twp please let me know. We totally remodeled the house this year (Rivcyko has seen it) so it's in about as good a shape as it'll be in. I could start a whole new thread on the upkeep and maintenance I've done on it...
Beautiful home. You guys should see the fireplace, in the living room. LOL. And the door stoppers, are the coolest, I've ever seen! LOL.
August is a total wash out for me. I'm working two weekends down at MIS, plus 10 days on vacation, plus I'm getting snipped...yes I will be singing soprano as of August 10th. Not much bikey bikey for Lobster.
So my next voice mail will sound like the Chipmunks?
Anyway, that's the update. Wish I could ride more. I'll try to keep in touch. Enjoy the rest of your summer.
weaselphdWho invited this damned Kanadian into a Michigan thread anyway? :lol:Oh, wait, I'm from Ohio. Good advice Ken.
Dale, are you going to scratch them new tires up this weekend at all?
??????????????????? Give Weasel a chance to try out the new cam.??
Got A DVD, from Poncho today.
A full weekend, here. Next weekend's Mid-Ohio, boys!
Got caught in the worst hail storm, I have honesly seen in my life, last night. Do'n 70 on 23N. Rain, bigger rain, small hail, (As I am slowing to a crawl, very quickly), road flooded at least 4", Hail is now quarter sized some as large as golf balls. (I s#!t you, not), At this point, off at Willis rd. E., as soon as I turn, get it up to the max speed of 5 mph, (both feet out, as the road levels, the water is deeper, [8"] and I driving on a layer of flowing marbles), I feel something brush my back and back of the bike. I stop, slowly. Look back. A tree had fallen across about 85% of the road. Now puckered and freezing, I find my way another 1/8 mi. to cover of a gas station awning. Had a small restore of faith in humanity, as 2 folks offered to let me sit in there cars. God bless 'em. I Politely and respectfully declind. As it was appreciated, but I was already soaked, and they were prolly going to have mold problems with there seats, forever more, had I accepted. LOL.
