I don't see any real benefit to removing the Linked set-up unless your changing out the forks to USD or some other adjustable forks. The system works well and is unobtrusive in most situations and in my opinion will benefit every rider with the possible exception of the very best Racer types out there. my $.02
To answer your question there should be several post that cover this if you try the SEARCH box or look in the Mods section. Many people have done it for their fork swaps and a few outside that to boot.

Ditto advice above, unless you are changing the forks dont bother delinking. Just ride it for a season and you'll get used to it.

Because of the fork master cylinder, that's your best option. I did mine, but if you don't know how to neutralise that m/c, don't bother.
