An Alternative To A Tank Bra

I have a friend who works at a shop that does tint and the clear film bra's you see on a lot of higher end cars. I brought the VFR in and he put the clear film on the raised part of the tank from the gas cap froward. It's pretty impressive how you can stretch and mold the film around compound curves. It pretty much covers the raised part of the tank down to just above the wings. I ride to work with a tank bag and was starting to see some fine scratches, so this should take of that. He also did the tank sides where your knees rest. I would take pictures but I don't think you would be able to see anything. I think it should wear pretty well as its not taking as much abuse as it would on the front of a cage.

Yeah the tankslapper makes one too. I had one and it's great. Next time I will cut it in half! Don't ask why.......mine developed air around the gas filler cap and it balloned. Simple fix for next time.
