For anyone interested, here is what my local paint supplier came up with for 2004 R-157
code color cumulative grams
DMD1677 red 418 418
DMD1609 violet 445.2 27.2
DMD1684 white 454.9 9.7
I'll let you know how it turns out. I'll be spraying next week.

Colorrite has a formulation available for most MC paint colours.
I've never tried them, so I have no idea how close of a match they are.

Please do, I'd love to see how accurate it might be...

Not close at all, WAY WAY darker than the Honda R157.

Here's ppg prophet match for R-157

ok. My repair is complete. The paint is a 'pretty good' match but it isn't perfect. I would try the one in Rivcyko's link. Everybody that sees it says it's perfect. I, on the other, hand know it's not quite perfect. I really wanted asphalt black.... Anybody know the code for that one?
LOL. Better be damn close, I cost me enough. rolleyes.gif
I had a rock chip on my red VFR and I borrowed some red fingernail polish from Ken that matched dead on. If you have ever seen Ken's nails you know how anal he is about them so I knew it would be good polish. biggrin.gif
Red is expensive. The color is really good. My clear finish isn't quite perfect. Not bad for a first attempt...
