The only issue is that my 1998 ST1100 has ABS and TCS so the traction control isn't a big innovation, unless I am missing something.

I have been looking at the ST1300 too but it does not have the TCS stuff some of the 1100s had.

Is 08 the year of big change? New updates with lots of electonic engine control stuff - traction and maybe fuel economy steps as well?

Buying something new this year but not holding my breath on this one.

While I'd be excited to see a 7th gen. VFR, I'll be sticking w/my '04 for quite awhile. And unless the new VFR (if and when there is one) either increases cc's/hp or both OR features some terrific new styling or features (like traction control), I think most of the m/c world will yawn.

Besides, how could they possibly top the 6th gen. anyway? goofy.gif J/K, guys. I know it's not everyone's ideal VFR, but it's still a great bike.
