Yep, I've had great luck with my painted frame. Make sure you clean the frame thoroughly beforehand, mask off anything & everything you don't want painted, put on 1-2 coats of primer, and then lay down your topcoats. I used Krylon Semi-flat and it turned out great -- no runs, smooth as silk, and a great satin finish. You can't even tell it's paint.

Thanks man. I actually had the exhaust ceramic coated by Performance Coatings. I got it done in Satin Titanium with a clear overcoat -- their prices were terrific and the turnaround time was quite fast, even with shipping across the country! I highly recommend them.

I did actually, though the only thing left on the bike was the engine. I tore the whole thing down and painted almost every part I could -- it was in terrible cosmetic shape being a theft recovery bike. Still, I had to be very careful with my masking to only paint the frame. I also painted the swingarm the same way, but I stripped that down to just the bare swingarm itself in order to properly paint it.
