Oil Leaking Out Of Forks — Suspension

I have a 3rd gen vfr and i noticed today my left fork is leaving a coat of oil after it bounces. Its not necessarily leaking but i am in need of new fork seals. My question is if i can still ride it for a few days until i get it fixed or if its better to keep it indoors.

Also what would be an easy way to lift the bike up so i can remove the forks? I dont have a rear stand

It will steer to one side a bit, and possibly get oil on your tires. I dont think you should ride it till you replace the fork seals

Don't want to get fork oil on your brake rotor either.

If you do, the brake pads will be toast.

If you have a center stand, put it on that, and place a floor jack under your headers to lift the front end. You could also use tie downs connected to ceiling joists, jack stands under frame sliders if you have them, a block of wood under the steering stem, or anything else you can come up with.

Hmm how bout a fat guy underneath the bike?

I'm going to try the ceiling to steering thing to take em off. Thank you!
