Touch Up Paint For 2000 (yeller)

Want to touch up a few nicks on the VFR I just picked up.

Anyone know where I can get matching (or very close) touch up paint?

If the nicks are really small, try Testors yellow paint from the hobby shop. I used it to paint a repaired tab on the seat cowl and it isn't too bad.

I wouldn't recommend it for anything very big.

This is for small touch up, mainly around one of the fairing mounting bolts.

Do you have plastic washers under these bolts? They help.

I used paint from a hobby shop made by Humbrol.It's the gloss yellow #69,it's dirt cheap and a very good match.I also picked up a couple of good quality brushes with very fine tips also made by Humbrol .For the record,Canada got a yellow VFR in '99 and is the same paint code as American 2000.Humbrol also makes gloss black and grey paint that matches VFR wheels well,for you guys that like to change your own tires.

I have the Honda touch paint...it's horrible.

I think it is intended to work after 57 coats. I'll try the Humbrol paint... that sounds like a good idea. Also, some places have the electronic "eye" paint matching machines. The ones I know of have a difficult time with metallic/pearl paints though... hopefully they will get better soon.

Oh yeah, one final thing: IT DOESN'T EXIST WITHOUT PICS
