My 2003 is the ABS model with the remote shock adjuster, does that make any difference on spring selection?

I think that the first # "1092" (think it should be 1093) is spring length and I.D. = 6"/2.250", the second # in NM(?) multiply that by .2443 to get KG.

ie: 69 X .2443 = 16.85 kg or 945lbs. stock is 15.3kg/858lbs

Right on, I'm about 172 lbs without gears. Still waiting for other VFRD members have anything to say about this deal. Do you have any ideas how much does it cost for labor to replace the spring, Baileyrock? Thanks in advance.

Not sure if it's possible. How would you know even by looking at the spring, unless you had an ohlins one right next to you.
I have a fear that they may really be ohlins, but be defective in some way, hence the price.

For $20 I took the chance anything is better than the stock spring and I am poor so this is good for me.

NOt to hijack this thread - but is changing the spring out a DIY job - or is it a shop only type of deal?

I emailed the guy this morning and heard back from him in about 2 hours. I'm about 230 pounds and asked what I'd need. I told him I did fairly aggressive street riding with an occasional jaunt with my wife on the back (a whopping 103 pounds). Here's his reply:

"A 1092-69 should put you right in that weight range solo. An extra person on the back will be a little over its head but you shouldnt be riding that fast with someone you love on there anyways hah. It's a 17kg spring though, pretty darn stiff. If your interested click buy it now and enter the part number in the notes section"
