Love the viffer, but hate how I'm on tippy toes at a stop. Yeah I'm short, but I can still wrassell!! Is there any way I can lower the bike without vastly affecting it? Just so I'm flat on the ground. My sargent seat actually put me higher in the saddle...
Here is a pic of my rotated rear shock mount. It's hard to see the arrow pointing up at the rear, but it is just above the letters. That is the "lowered" or non-stock position shown. Only 3 bolts to loosen (they were incredibly tight. I don't think it took 10 minutes to do the whole thing.
I bought my VFR used with the free "rotating link" mod...it makes a big difference, so try that first. I actually raised mine back up to stock because it felt a little too short.
Many of us ride very tall dual sports, we can't touch the ground with both feet on those and we stop all the time. The rule for off road'n is true for street ride'n, "One flat foot on the ground is more solid that two sets of tippie toes". Just slide your butt off to the left and drop that foot down flat.
