Rattle Can Looks.

I got my new/old Interceptor and it looked like this....

When I got it.


Then, yesterday I helped it a little. Not to shabby, eh. It isn't factory but it's in the same spirit I feel.... biggrin.gif

Glad you changed the mirrors. The ones in the first pic look poorly placed and fugly to boot.

Not only were the first mirrors ugly, but completely functionally useless. The front fender was like that when I got it, so I have another that got cheap off of ebay...and I mean cheap biggrin.gif ... on the way. When it gets here it gets painted and installed too. As for the license plate, I believe your right, its next on the update list.

Most people do a bad job with pi** cans. Including me. I need a gun for a good job.

keep in mind - my results anyway - the common 'rattle can' paint gets destroyed by just a drop of gas - bubbles fast. that's either enamel ' rustOleum' or Laquer ' duplicolor' - after learning the irritating way, I went with automotive type acrylic Urethane - the clear overcoat is a 2 part mix, which is pretty fuel resistant, if not totally immune. colorrite.com has this in spray cans, with a 2 part mix clear. expensive, but . . . and I still haven't found it 'easy' the colorrite clear spray system is very sensitive to keeping bottle uprite, etc.

Your right. I have no illusions about long term durability but for me re-learning how to ride again, this will do till I can feel comfortable with a newer nicer bike. The black paint was just not doing it for me, but I couldn't beat the price over all... fing02.gif
